I believe Bioware should go back to DA:O's system for classes and equipment. Don't try to streamline and consequently limit the variability of the classes.  I personally loved playing a DW warrior.
Anyways, I would like to see the inclusion of new weapon types and perhaps some new skills for pre-existing weapon types For instance, I think weapons like spears and whips would make nice additions.  Spears could provide farther reaching attacks, penetrate through multiple enemies, and even give a bit of CC by "poking" enemies back.  As for the whip, it could also be used for CC and disabling enemies via wide swings, trips, disarms, etc.  I think it would be interesting for 2H hammers and maces to geared towards knocking enemies to the ground and finishing them off while downed.
These are just a few ideas I have.  Feel free to add your own ideas.  I'd like to see some interesting innovations to the combat so that it doesn't feel like we're stuck doing the same things over again.

personally, i love the unique sets of armor that the characters in DA2 had, it set them apart from the crowd, literally. with so many NPC's walking around in standard clothing or armor, it made them distinct in appearance and personality. image wise, they didnt show the effects of finding the upgrades which was mildly frustrating.

distinct (and i mean distinct) appearance of weapons is also really gratifying, as if youve moved on from the standard stuff, and have earned the special weapons. the dual weapons we see in the very beginning stand out, and are clear that they are unusual

I would like to play the bard class using pipe or guitar or drum as my weapon to channel deadly musics. I would also like to play the monk class using bare fist and deadly martial arts strikes. Or a vampire using claw, seduction and paralyzing gaze to stun the enemy. Or a hunter similar to Van Hellsing in hunting the undeads and demons with the most advance equipment sponsored secretly by the Chantry's order. .

wizard, templar, rogue, archery are sure to make a comeback ,

Seeker class looks interesting but would they play as a templar, a mix of sword and magic would be nice but since seeker are close to chantrie it seems near impossible, so they could made them skilled in alchimie (revive/healing potions, flame, poison...bomb.....) they appear to be some secret agent so a rogue/assassin class of some sort would suit them well

Monk : fighter/healer (not very original but still great) most of his attacks would come with a stun effect....

I really missed DA:O class selection, however the gear for both games has been very underwhelming. I just read an article about new customization ideas and how you can equip your armor pieces seperately instead of in big chunks (entire shoulder/chest/waist pieces). This would drastically cut back on item recycling which would be more than welcome, and allow for some very cool customization. I did like the individual armor sets for companions from DA2, however it would have been very cool to see their armor get heftier and tougher looking as you found the upgrades.

Back to classes and such. DA:O classes were sorely missed. While there was great variety in DA2, I feel that its simply a bad idea to remove certain class options all together (duel wielding warrior). It would be great to see the variety of DA2 with the cool combinations of DA:O. If warrior could have access to various rogue skill trees there could be some very cool play styles. For example, you could put points into sabotage for abilities such as "rush." I'm sure many warrior players would love to charge their opponents with a big, armored shoulder bash before demolishing them with brute force.

As far as straight up missing classes...Battlemage. From the moment I saw Hawke in the champion mage gear with the bladed staff in the Destiny trailer...I wanted to be up in the fray latching onto my enemy's faces with an armored fist and blow them away point blank with fire and doom >:)

So in a nutshell, stop recycling gear (and environments while you're at it). Stick with warrior/rogue/mage main classes, but please allow more freedom within the classes to let players create a truly unique gameplay experience.

If it is a Dragon age variation of a monk and not some stereotypical wuxia rip off i would play that class tbh

My thoughts exactly. The distinct appearances for all characters were really cool imo, but some visible change for each upgrade you found would've been nice. The article about character customization for DA3 looks promising, and I really hope they can make it work.

Agreed again. Some overlapping skill trees worked well in DA:O. However, I think this should be limited to weapon choices. I think the particular specializations work well when they're restricted by class, because that way they add unique flavor. I wouldn't really like a warrior who could use miasmic flasks all of a sudden for example.

Missed arcane warrior from DA:O badly myself :crying: I have a feeling some kind of seeker class could be added as well. I don't really know all that much about seekers though (I only played the games, didn't read any novels), so I couldn't say if it would be a warrior, rogue or mage specialization or a new class altogether.

I think weapon selection is already pretty good, so no particular demands in that department. More maces/axes/mauls would be nice maybe, since the focus seems to be more on swords. 1 thing that really has to be changed is the overwhelming amount of random weapons they had in DA2. Sifting through all weapons (armor as well for that matter) to find which one has the extra hit point or whatever was a nightmare. The weapon tier system was a good idea though (red, white, gold and purple). But again, the sheer randomness of the enhancements on the white weapons should be dropped imo. They could just be the standard gear instead of red, whereas the higher tiers are unique weapons that are harder to come by and possibly have some sort of history to them.

get rid of ... button = awesome .. if this is implemented again im going to smack my head against some concrete until i slur enchantments like a special dwarf and I will be in the minority that find this satisfying. bring back text dialogue.
In fact bring back Brent Knowles dammit. I dont want a hooker romance option, I dont want the virgin next door romance option, i dont want the gay whiny mage romance option.
I'm over it I've waited too long for a Dragon age origins sequel with real imports, real sequel, real people from my first amazing game play that switched me from FPS to hardcore rpg fan (Ive played so many rpgs now that haven't been able to compare to DAO)

Dragon age origins era is officially over the only way I can role play is smoke weed and play with legos.

Sorry for this ghastly submit but I'm thoroughly annoyed with every BIG dev at the moment. Money sucking back stabbing bastards.

Hopefully one day a dev with some ballz will continue the DAO story for real.

sorry for the rant, peace out homies
