five minutes takes too long, it's too easy for people to just set a timer and come back every five minutes. two minutes is a nuisance. If you're getting booted, then you're not moving enough. Also, for the record, only if you were already at extraction before the eleventh wave started could you possibly be booted before the end, as extraction only takes two minutes. And if you don't move that entire time, then you're either a really bad player or afk.
most players in their right minds like this fix because it stops a-holes from going afk during games, especially gold ones, and possibly losing them for us.
Do you really think people are going to sit there and go afk and come back every few minutes to make sure they don't get booted? They're going to rubber band their trigger or tilt the analog stick to spin in a corner or something. Not really hard to put your controller upside down and make sure it's got an analog tilted constantly getting input.
When people don't want to play, they're going to find a way to not play. The only people who will likely get booted are people who aren't trying to afk.
You don't always HAVE to move or do anything during extraction, especially on easier difficulties. You act as if everyone does gold only and needs to be really intensive for every moment?
I've not seen anyone actually get dropped into a game in progress (don't you lose credits for waves you didn't do?) and unless you're playing with friends you're not really going to see an afk person get replaced so all you do is miss a person with a slot available in case you can invite someone, which could quite possibly get you booted while you're trying to invite someone.
yes, I have seen people do that in other games. I've done it myself, though that was auto-mining in Minecraft, which is perfectly acceptable.
I have also seen it done in me3 since the patch. All they have to do is slightly move the mouse once every minute and a half and they've basically made a bunch of credits for free. Using this method, they're free to watch tv or read books or whatever they want to while making credits.
if inviting someone takes you two minutes, then something's wrong with your computer
if you're not going to move at all for two minutes, then don't complain about being booted. What's the point of playing if you're just sitting there doing nothing? -on a sidenote, they gave everyone fair warning about the afk system. If you're not going to be careful, that's your fault.
and by the way you're wrong, people get replaced all the time.
