You as the next Protagonist

Hypothetically speaking, Casey Hudson and his team are doing auditions for a brand protagonist for Mass Effect 4.
If you succeed you will have artistic control over the character's personality and govern the way he/she talks.
What do you bring to the table?
What do you have in mind for this character?
Sell yourself.

Or be realistic about your abilities if that is your strategy.

I haven't thought about it extensively, but I've always thought this sort of character would've been a better insight to the FCW than TIM in Evolution, especially the civilian side of things, not just guns guns shoot shoot dead.

All I do is viciously beat my Pilot, and smash the ship into buildings.
I never do quests, and I spend all my credits on Fornax.
I also punch reporters, crewman, and bystanders for no reason, (this is due to ryncol)
I also am engaged in a healthy relationship with an obese Krogan.
I end up killing everyone and the galaxy blows up.

He survives the initial massacre by hiding under the bodies of his fellow scientists.
He attaches himself to a Systems Alliance squad, providing limited medical assistance, and scavenging techs from dead comrades and enemies.
Cereberus slowly, but surely takes control of the planet, with him and a handful of similar scientists and solider starting a resistance movement, rallying civilians to their cause. Cereberus cracks down hard on the innocent, while said scientist and company cracks down on Cereberus troops even harder. Scientist becomes a beacon of hope for both the planetary resistance, as well as resistance around the galaxy

He is diplomatic and cunning, very patient but is aggressive when needs be. Prefers heavy pistols and automatic weapons. Is also a biotic. He keeps an open mind when mediating between hostile parties.
He is primarily assigned with rescuing various SA and Citadel squads throughout the galaxy, and is occasional brought into mediating disputes, being a Galactic Relations major in University.

Cpt. [name] Nelson
Silver-spoon kid with political family ties or
"Borrowed Ladder" Doppelganger
Internal Affairs agent or
On-the-take
Cpt. Nelson begins the campaign by being kicked off the force in a frame-up. Thanks to Nelson's profile, Nelson eeks out of incarceration either by favors or by "favors".
How Nelson will have to handle things depends heavily on Nelson's background and profile. A crook wouldn't work well for a former IA while a shiny-shield cop would be wary to help someone that was dealing dirty. The Doppelganger has to keep their cover in an environment that's no longer under their control outside of the police force. The rich kid has some contacts they might be able to sway for their purposes if they don't cause political blowback. The range of possible allies is vast, but which ones will work together as well as work with Nelson is limited.
Nelson will not be a biotic, though. Nelson will exist in a world with powers beyond Nelson's understanding and have to work with the limitations, survive and uncover what's really going on, but Nelson has no leads at all except the knowledge of Nelson's own innocence.
Core skills: Knowledgable with rifles, pistols and shotguns of all kinds (legal and illegal). Basic tech abilities (not upgradeable). Training in advanced squad-car handling. Experience in leadership.
(And I'm tired. So I'm stopping here.)

So arrorgant, smug sentinel with biotic and tech powers.
Carrying an assault rifle and a side pistol.
Also has adrenaline rush (cue lots of slow motion martial arts sequences)
Lots of daft remarks and sarky humour.
Annoys every female character with sexist remarks.
Someone with no obvious loyalties except to himself.
But when it comes down to it, knows how to kick ass and save the day (even if it means furthering his own morally grey agenda).

History
Human Sentinel with a grandparent that fought in the First Contact War and family serving in the Alliance. I'd be a sole survivour from a cruiser that had been destroyed by Sovereign at the Battle of the Citadel. However after the battle, I'd be a victim to back-room politics, with my previous assignment changed and given a gag order to generate sympathy from the other council races and support for extra reparations from the Turians for the Relay 314 Incident. As compensation and to keep me quiet and out of the way I am moved up by two ranks and serve as a Corsair. Between 2183 and late 2185 I was fighting Geth, pirates and rogue Cerberus cells, sometimes even rogue Spectres. By the events of Mass Effect 3, I am rushed aboard an Alliance shuttle after being knocked unconscious by an exploding grenade, while protecting the craft from a wave of Husks and Cannibals. Once escaping the Fall of Earth, I am then dragged into events such as; a prototype Cerberus fleet, Project Pheonix and the attack on Aephus. Visiting Kahje, Irune, Camala, Terra Nova, an Asari and a Turian colony world to assist in the fight against the Reapers. During these events I eventually build my own team.
Personality
Dry sense of humour, perceptive and somewhat withdrawn because of the friends he had lost at the Battle of the Citadel, however when the time calls for it he can be quite charismatic. And having being born in Australia, he likes to have a pint or two, or even a bit of wine to wash away his troubles. When it comes to battle he lives by the words etched on a memorial in PNG: Courage Endurance Mateship Sacrifice.
Weapons:
Weapons vary depending on a mission, often using the weapon of an enemy to help cover his presence.
Powers:
-Tech Armour
-Defence Matrix
-Overload
-Cryo Blast
-Warp
-Throw
-Lift Grenade

A superhuman vanguard.
The story would be like this: A human has discovered the Prothean base on Mars long before space-faring was possible (around 2025), more than a century before the (re)discovery of the base by the miners on Mars . He's on a top-secret mission there after satellites detected an anomaly there. He then discovered the base, and there were a Prothean machine. As he touches it, he was overpowered and were given a "gift" by the machine, that gave him biotic powers and altered him physically that make him a superhuman. This triggered a stasis mode, and he was trapped in cryogenic state. He was discovered by the miners that found the Prothean base. Later, he was sent to a secret military base for study and the personnels at the base was figuring out how to deactivate the stasis mode. Then, come Shepard to end the stasis mode since he/she has the Cipher.
Name: Viktor Kramarenko
Race: Russian
Characteristic: Very tall and large, standing at 7ft tall and weight more than 150 kg. Speaks with a strong Russian accent.
Background: Completely unknown, other than that he has biological relatives, possibly decendants from his family.
Special power: Lift field. All nearby enemy will be lifted when activated. A special upgrade is that this power can be deployed 3m away from him.
I have no other idea for this character, but I'll update sooner or later.

EDI-like AI. Male or female.
Storylines are pretty easily extrapolated from the titles/character examples.
I would favor a trilogy based around an AI player character. I think that could be awesome given the possibilities of Mass Effect 3's ending(s). Plus an AI player character means BioWare could hire Kristoffer "HK-47" Tabori as the male voice and we all could be paragon or renegade HK-47s for 100+ hours... and that is TOTAL WIN for everyone.
[I hereby relinquish all rights to this idea. Seriously. If it sounds good, o'awesome RPG gods of Bioware, use it. I wanna play it.]
