A niche weapon that required a good deal of skill has just been condemned to the garbage bin.  RIP, noble slayer of Reapers.

social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/324/index/12276459

-Fixed the Kishock Sniper Rifle that would hit head bone (critical hit) on enemies that should not be possible, such as the Brute, Banshee and Ravager

(Note that there's a lot of really good changes in there too that are cause for celebration.  Other things of note, however, are that there is no fix for Krogan Vanguard Rage, no fix for Amplification, no fix for Asari Justicar Power Damage, no fix for Mash Y to Not Charge for Vanguards (an issue even on host and in single player), and you can no longer headshot Geth Primes)

Question. What do you define as skill in the Multiplayer setting?

Used it only once, so I guess I won't be missing it. But bad for those who used it.

It fires in an arc making it a skill to master it. It fires like a bow does ;)

I will still be great against any basic enemies as well as phantoms. I don't agree with it being garbage after this at all.

i thought ravagers and brutes were supposed to have critical hit areas for all weapons. Why make it impossible for the kishock?

You could've highlighted what you where talking about

-Fixed the Kishock Sniper Rifle that would hit head bone (critical hit) on enemies that should not be possible, such as the Brute, Banshee and Ravager

It was a hard weapon to use and I've only see a handful of people use it well/great.

I'm still going to use it, but yeah. Terrible news indeed.

R.I.P. It will remain one of my favorites, though.

Oh look it's one of these guys.  Yeah, this totally requires no skill and everyone can do it.

Yeah seems like an unnecessary fix, but I will definitely not abandon the beast.

That it was hard to consistently hit moving targets with it at range?  I could only use this thing as host even then not to any real effect.  Now it's gonna suck unless they up the missle speed.  It's biggest boon was being able to one shot Brutes, Ravagers and Primes (almost).  I mean it can still one shot kill other things I suppose, but other guns can basicially do the same but with less effort.

Just because it does not critically damage a boss like it could before accidentally and which is now fixed?

Yes, just because it lost the niche which made it useful.

Sadness... about the Kishock, but they did lots of useful fixes so I'm happy all in all.

I think a GI with Javelin can still do it.

there's a funnier point in the update:

-Fixed Host migration that would sometimes cause players to start on an incorrect wave

ahahahah goodbye cheaters

Ah ok, it was an honest question. Don't assume without sufficient evidence that I am indeed "one of these guys". Whoever they are.
