As an Asari Adept, I obviously have not unlocked the Carnifex yet.. All other gold weapons are anywhere from Rank 3-9, but no Carnifex.
I also haven't unlocked any of the new characters either, except for the Batarian Soldier

I see your problem right there. You've been buying spectre packs before levelling up all uncommons and commons to X.

I haven't been playing that long, at least compared to some here, but I still have yet to unlock the Asari Adept, and a number of Ultra rares, but I'm not really all that bothered by it.

Actually most of my commons and uncommons are maxed. I buy vet packs every day, on a rare occasion I get an uncommon in PSP, but I almost never get a weapon in a vet pack. SP's are usually where I find silver cards. Just purchased 4 vet packs, no weapons but I did get some class cards.
