Quick question. It says for desktops only. I know laptops aren't desktops, but would it also work with them? I don't wanna try it just to see my laptop get messed up. Thanks!

EDIT: Nevermind. I looked up their forums and found one for laptops: http://sites.amd.com...y-mobility.aspx

I've been playing the game for probably 20 or so hours on the highest settings with beautiful performance. However, as of a few days ago, when I went to open up DAO again, the intro movie was extremely choppy. It would pause frequently and the audio would cut in and out. Additionally, gameplay now drags at a snail's pace, as though everything is in slow motion.

I've tried restoring to a previous date, updating all of my drivers, I've tried the AMD Fusion program, and I've even uninstalled DAO and Steam twice now, re-downloading the full game just in case. I've used every combination of video quality possible to no effect.

So far, nothing has helped. It's more than a little bit frustrating. So, as a last effort, I'm seeing if anyone here might be able to give me some suggestions beyond waiting for the next patch in hopes that it might restore my game to a playable state.

If you'd like my hardware specs, I'll throw them in, but seeing as how I was playing the game perfectly for 20 hours without a single issue, I don't know if it's necessary. Either way, any assistance anyone might offer me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks to everyone in advance!

Zippi, my computer isn't privately owned unfortunately, and I have to share it to my parents and such. I read that other programs and the internet would be affected. Is there a way for it to.. err be removed temporarily?

MChivalry:

AMD Fusion will only affect other programs and internet when it is active. It will turn off some other programs and internet, and sometimes they create an error-report because of this. Nothing will be damaged though. When finished playing you can easy turn AMD Fusion off, and it is no problem to uninstall AMD Fusion if you dont like it.

If the game still lags, I would check if the computer really is good enough. You can do it on this site:
http://cyri.systemre...CYRI/intro.aspx - If it only passes the minimum requirements, you probably have to live with some lagging - maybe unless you use the very lowest videosettings.

Dragon Age is a very demanding game. Things like the possibility to scroll to overhead view and controll 4 characters make it more demanding than many games with much better graphics.

If the computer is good enough, I suggest checking if you use the right screenformat. If you do that and it still lags, I would try the lowest videosettings.

However: It is well known that Dragon Age has problems with some good enough computers, so it is possible you have to wait for a patch=(
