In MP if you kill the driver, the atlas just blows up
As it should be.
Imagine 4 players getting in Atlases and spawncamping the enmies? yeah.

So I posted enquiring about hijacking Atlus's in MP which was met with a resounding 'no.' It gave me the idea that this would be a fun weekend event if they could incorporate it from the single player. Just an idea and it does have a nice ring to it.

Solo Goal: Hijack an Atlas, any difficultyrobarcool wrote...
And the target would be? Just curious as to where this will go.
Squad Goal: Hijack at least three(3) Atlases throughout a single match, Silver and up
Community Goal: Hijack a total of 10,000 Atlases and kill 5,000 Cerberus troopers with them.

FYI, there is not driver in MP Atlas. You can clearly see that.Mahrac wrote...

As opposed to lobbing four nades into a spawn?
The difference is what exactly?
The reason you're never going to see atlas interaction is memory.

I agree. It'd be way too OP and some maps would hardly have any room to manuever.

I don't think it would be as OP as people are saying. By the time you get in one it would only have half it's armor left and between snipers/grenades/turrets/ and phantoms you'd probaly lose it pretty fast

Next up is all the threads flooding this board whining about how "I never get to Hijack an Atlas/Stop missile nuking the Atlas/Nerf the enemies so I can make it to the Atlas/ect."
Ambitious, but impractical.

I wonder if it's harder for the AI to kill a person throwing grenades or an Atlas with 20,000 Armor/Shields?

Actually it can, anything is possible provided there's will but in this case there is none.

True, there is little will. At least the banshee thing added some spice to the painfully bland promote 3 operation and it was fun watching my own idea getting shot down by the esteemed members of the board for a change

But yeah I can see it overtaxing the current programming. (Though it looks like, browsing C.bin, that it was originally intended to be possible.)

I see you are a good player. But the fact doesn't change that there is no driver in multiplayer Atlas.Mahrac wrote...

Hijakced atlas doesn't have anything close to that and those numbers can be adjusted to whatever they need to be, as has been done every week since launch.
The only ACTUAL issue is memory, specifically 360 memory.

I thought the Atlas' in MP are robots. Since they have no pilot and can be sabotaged.
