I went over to the ME2 forums and asked if support for Xbox version of ME2 would be the same as for DA:O. Surprisingly, I got a response from a BW rep within 5 minutes of posting the thread, this is the response I got from Chris Priestly:

"Support for Mass Effect 2 will be every bit as good as Dragon Age: Origins."

So I'm guessing that there will be no support for ME2, if we go by BW standard of support for Xbox DA:O. If that does not convince you to not get ME2 nothing will.

Well to be fair the lead platform for this game is PC. But mass effect 2 for 360 should get better support than DA since its the lead platform for that game.

I dunno since support has been from the users on the PC far more than from BW.

Its just the glib response I got from Priestly, it sounds like he does not have a clue whats going on with DA:O if he thinks the support "is as good", there's been no support.. He deleted the first thread I made asking about BW support and this was his response to the second thread I made. How delusional is this guy? Talk about spin. From what I can see, much of BW time and resources are now focused on ME2. The problem I have with this is once ME2 comes out and if its as buggy as DA:O, will they give it any support or just put all their resources into kicking SW:TOR out the door, because this seems to be the pattern they are following.

Hm. Lets see.

Im just wondered. Well, doesnt matter. I for myself already got the little feeling about a declassed gamer. In reallife I wouldnt contact a business again when feeling so. But lets see what will happen here with DAO. Maybe they can patch not just the game with the xbox-Patch. Im willed to allow.

Face it, Mass Effect 2 is the flagship game for the season, if it flops, staff are going to get canned so everyone is most likely working on that game till launch. Then they will forget about us and make more EA Active games for the Wii.

i hope they got better support cause i got this game withut checking it just got it since is bioware, and the promo item u could have to mass effect 2, but the support or at least aknowledge the bug for xbox 360 have been poorly managed. I got big hope for mass effect 2 since i love the first game but if no support happen is gonna really suck especially is supposed to be a trilogy anyway thank for the info

Maybe they will include the content update for the 360 version with Return to Ostagar DLC. This kind of seems like the most likely thing to happen.

So in otherwords, you think they will charge us for a patch and risk a backlash that is already well deserved.

I am betting they release the patch and dlc on the same day. Especially since they said you need the patch to run the dlc.

Or they might just bundle the patch in the DLC because they said you need the patch to play the DLC.

They try charging a cost for the patch and theres gonna be a whole lot of copies of dragon age in the bargain bin at the game shops, whole lotta new copies of mass effect sitting on the shelves un-purchased come next year too.

Well we are not their favorite system at the moment so they may be looking to make extra money on us since they wont exactly be able to fix everything wrong and nerf the mage class without going over some limit.

Hopefully it isn't the same if it is i shall Call EA the killer of good Companies. They have good Original IPs but when they acquire new Companies that is when hell breaks lose. Such as the recent Pandemic closure.
