I found the joke to be OK. I had a problem with being forced ot take the loss of Thessia so personally. Its a thousand more times the asari's fault for not doing anything for two and a half years and giving the appearance of being more advanced and intelligent than other species, when it was all loaned from the Protheans.
omg yes. The FIRST time I played through the game I was like 'wut' because I had read the codex and knew about the genophage and how it wasn't the same thing. I actually didn't have a problem with Shepard at first saying tha tthe Turians tried to kill off the humans, but then when Wrex mentioned its not the same he should have realized and agreed.

Sadly, the worst dialog was the constant 'mmhmm', 'okay', 'yeah', 'sure' or just plain blank stares when there SHOULD have been dialog moments. There were awkward pauses and awful timings.
I think it was more the editing of the dialog than anything else, so for me there wasn't one line that was awful, but a series of short or awkward or badly placed lines that bothered me.
