The way I saw, you weren't trying to talk TIM down in the final confrontation because controlling the Reapers was a bad idea, moreso because he was indoctrinated and that ship had already sailed. Mr. Illusive wasn't trying to control the reapers in the end, he was trying to help them win because his mind was gone. You were just trying to Shepard Indoctrinate him to see your point of view before you shoot him/convince him to shoot himself. Control was never off the table. Mr. Illusive just couldn't control them because he was indoctrinated.Sauruz wrote...

Why would saying TIM was right be a bad line? Did you all just not like that the Reapers could be controlled after the whole game was spent opposing that idea?
In many cases, Shepard just convinced TIM that controlling the Reapers is a bad idea for several reasons. Making Shepard go "So the Illusive man was right after all" five minutes after TIM killed himself because of what Shepard said makes Shepard look like an idiot. It'd be like if you talked Saren into suicide only to turn every living being into a cyborg afterwards to please the Reapers - wait, that can actually happen.
It'd be fine if you had the option to say that if you wanted to. Forcing every Shep to say that borders on character assassination.

Not really comparable. Even if it were, the asari outcrapped everyone else's crap. That being said, the asari as a species cannot be blamed, as only a very small handful of matriarchs even knew about the thing (the protheans behaved idiotically anyway, since they included a contingency that could only be activated by a live prothean). Are you serious ?
Each species have some crap ...

No, he says "Keelah se'lai", which is entirely different.Apathy1989 wrote...
I also hate alot of his dialogue with Tali in ME3. So often tali says things like "I love you". All Shepard says is "I know".
This. Some people seem to think that ME1 didn't have its fair share of weak moments, but it certainly did.Seboist wrote...
The ones where Shepard said the genophage was akin to the first contact war.

It isn't character assassination because because as long as the blue option is available the Illusive Man's plan was possible and he was right. If you don't accept that then you are wrong. It really is that black and white.
And as for Saren, Saren wasn't trying to become cyborgs to appease the reapers, he was voluntarily going to become a husk slave so he would still technically have his life. Saren was not fighting for the green explosion ending, he was fighting to become a collector.
