Eh, I still can't see Loghain as good Warden. Even when you defeat the blight, assuming you take morrigan's offer, he doesn't even believe it was a true blight. Not much of a good grey warden IMO. and after all he did, making him a hero again leaves a very big knot in my stomach. i think he should have the option to be the random drunkard somewhere in fereldan.

i know, i'm selfish. blame it on my venus in leo. :)

Well, I believe he did mention something about you making him question his vows...

But then he goes all barmy on you and insists all mages must die.

You can get him to spill the fact he has a crush on you if you're playing a female mage, which is really funny if Zevran is there.

.However, they won't get the chance to make a Golden Age, because if there is a sequel, because then there will likely be a "call-to-adventure" that will take them away and prevent/delay this from happening.  It is also possible that the Demonbaby might ruin everything, and/or an Orlesian invasion occurs.

(PS. If Queen Anora and King Alistair are Brangelina, then Anora is Jennifer Anniston.)

Lol one thing i love about my current playthrough as a dwarf prince is that i can get allistair to marry anora and not have to worry about upsetting anyone nearly as much because everybody wins.

I get the feeling that if that demon baby is told by morrigan who his father is we are going to see something similar to mordred and king arthur  which can only be badPosted Image

The potential for a quest sidetracking any ruling of the country is definatley there(im just hoping an expansion will be more about closure, Mask of the betrayer left a bad taste in my mouth)

Mind you in the case of orlais invading i think the PC is probably the best choice to defend the nation, i mean by the end of the game a female human noble is practically a warrior queen.

And yeah Anora would be jennifer anniston(albeit more ruthless)

all that said anora is easily the best choice for fereldens ruler, shes smart, ruthless and experienced in politics and i intend to put her in power in every playthrough that i have no chance of claiming the throne in.

Yes!  You're so much the better Grey Warden than Loghain (and arguably better than Alistair too), which is why it would be such a waste for you to sacrifice yourself.  Loghain won't be a Grey Warden for very long - just long enough to make it to the Archdemon.

It does kind of suck that only you and your friends will know the real story though.  Sometimes you have to take it for the team, by letting Loghain take it for the team.

It is okay to be selfish, but it is very sad to be lovelorn, no matter which constellation your heart resides.

This is off-topic, but I recently played through as a male Dwarf Noble too, and thought it was so much fun.  Great origin.  A male dwarf noble can't be lovelorn over Alistair, but they can be lovelorn about Morrigan.  I don't have the strength for that issue, at least today I don't.

I'll have to make a playthrough where Zevran gets the PC at the end.  Maybe I'll try taking Zevran to the mage tower to see his reactions to Cullen like Veggielamb suggested a few posts up.  I don't remember anyone else doing anything very interesting there.

In the sequel, I confess that I'm actually very interested and looking forward to seeing how they handle the demonbaby and Morrigan, and how/if different end game choices from this game come into play.

Well my pc kind of accepted her fate and took it with pride. I guess it was the kind of 'glory' thing Jory and Cailin were looking for though. Thinking of it that way, she wasn't really lovelorn. There was a lot of love, duty, but especially honor there. Though I probably would have been lovelorn had I made a mixed up in my party or not prepared my pc for death.

I wouldn't necessarily say venus is a pure representation of your heart - it's a bit more complicated than that. Usually when I start talking about astrology though people jump down your throat about it's BS, even if it's something you do for fun.

To Estelindis:  He is less mad at you by the end of the game.  Maybe even he will totally be over it in 30 years, then you could be reunited (and it feels so good) for your Calling.  That aside, it is best to chalk him up to experience and move on, since you are obviously a strong woman who doesn't need a man to self-worth.  Besides, there are other fish in the sea.  I hear Wynne has a son, you know.

Actually...  I just checked out Alistair's epilogue conversation in the toolset, and the VO/localisation comments seem to indicate that, in spite of what he says, he is still rather annoyed at the PC and does not relish the idea of seeing her again.  Posted Image  When he says that they'll be seeing plenty of each other, the VO comment reads: less than enthused by this idea, "we'd better make the best of it"  Posted Image  So he doesn't forgive her quite as much as I thought...  My PC is certainly a strong woman, it has to be said - she was actually quite cold and hard following the events of her origin story - but Alistair warmed her up again and she has a very soft spot for him, so this is somewhat sad for her.  She won't be thinking about other fish in the sea for quite a while.  YET, as we've said before, at least she and Alistair are alive...  And Alistair turns out to be an excellent king.

As a side-note, those VO comments can be extremely revealing.  Especially some of Flemeth's...

Oh, he's definitely still mad at you. He just isn't as mad at you as he was before - Progress!

And here we come back to the part where sucking it up for the good of all, does in fact...suck. No one said it would be easy, but there is hope for the future. Recognizing that one needs time to grieve is very important and healthy though - I recommend getting this out of the way during a nice long boatride to an exotic country with one or more of your best friends.

I'm so envious of you PCs, with all your respec mods and ability to do toolset detective work. My computer is just too old now to be able to run DA:O tolerably, so I'm an XBox. (This will change after Xmas though, I Posted Image you, Mr. Lamp). I would love to know Flemeth's parentheticals - you should post them Posted Image

I shall! But it shall require another thread. (Or at least I should search to see if something about this has already been posted first...)

And, indeed, it does suck. :(  For looking at the VO comments under Alistair's final words to the PC, we see: "Get lost."  I'll just keep repeating: at least we're alive, without a demonbaby...  It's solace of a kind!

Alistair really does seem unhappy, though.  Makes me wonder if it's worth it.
