No it doesn't. But people don't ever mention the original version when they discuss it thematically.

Your anger reveals more than enough. You are upset and it shows. I'm trying to help in some capacity but I can't help someone who acts with such vitriol in their words.

Awh, somebody is trying to read emotions over an internet forum. This is adorable.

Would you like me to say "please" and "thank you" at the end of my posts to satiate your need for gratiousness?

I didn't ask anything from you. I've even stated that you don't have to trust me.

You are merely in a state that prevents a level headed discussion right now.

You telling someone else to calm down and stop insulting people is laughable when you can't even restrain yourself from doing so.

Kindly move on if you either a) don't want to read it or B) can't emotionally gather yourself long enough to realize that this is the internet and nothing being said matters to any rational person, or c) in your case, can't even debate what's being said in the first place.

There is such a thing as forgiveness.  It's not forgetting, it's moving on.  Also, as the discussion that Taboo and I have had points out, I have relatively high standards for what would actually correct the situation to me.  Yeah, it'll always be in my mind with Bioware games, but I'm not going to completely condemn them if they actually satisfactorily correct their errors.  If the EC actually addresses the problems, I'm not going to turn around and throw it back in their faces by refusing to buy another game from them.

If you don't forget the action in question, it still matters.

I'm not saying you should forgo purchasing any Bioware product now, or in the future. I'm saying when you actually do consider it, you need to think about these things.

It would no longer matter in the case of Mass Effect, then.  I would be forgiving them and moving on in regard to Mass Effect.  (Perhaps a bit of miscommunication on my end.)

No, there was no miscommunication. I stand by what I said: if you don't forget an action which you've questioned, it still matters even if you've forgiven it.

Not only for the person or organization in question--Bioware in this instance--but for the future of the product--Mass Effect.

For someone so apparently apt at reading into the words of others, you certainly can't reflect upon your own words and what they mean to others. :)

Coming from you, my friend, that's a great compliment.

To be called irrational by a known purveyor of irrationality based in vitriol and insults is quite the compliment indeed.

They're all liars at this point, rendering this post useless.

Even though it's probably true that there will be no announcement.

I think a lot of the anger goes beyond how bad some of us think they screwed the ending and, in turn, the franchise. It goes to how we were treated, how we feel we were lied to right up to the release, etc. Stuff that has been re-hashed a thousand times.

For me, I can forgive. It would make it easier if they had ever said, "I can see how you might think that and we're sorry about that." But whatever. I can forgive, but I won't forget. I will never purchase a game that Casey Hudson has anything to do with. Unless EC far exceeds what they said it will be, then I will also not be purchasing any further ME franchise developments.

Bioware had a HUGE amount of goodwill with me .. now that's almost completely used up. But there's still enough left for me to give Dragon Age 3 a chance. But if that fails at the end as badly as ME3 did then I will be moving on from Bioware all together. That's all I can do as a consumer. Remove my dollars from their wallets.

I'm well aware of my no-nonsense stare down writing. That's how it is in the film world and with direct criticism.

In your face and blunt.

This isn't a film discussion, be thankful for that.

I tore Forrest Gump apart earlier.

Yes, good for you.

Apparently you're blissfully unaware of the differentiation between "explicit" communication and "implicit" communication. Would you like a refresher, or would your no-nonsense, stare-down writing be compromised?

All right, then consider me crazy if you want to, I guess.  You're dead set on it.  Like I said, if a mistake is corrected in a satisfactory manner, then I'm willing to move on.  I do so because I realize that I also make mistakes and hope that others can move on from them and maintain whatever relationship I had with them.  Sometimes, the mistake cannot be corrected and that relationship cannot be continued, but when it can, then I'm inclined to allow such an outcome.

Assigning emotion to an otherwise emotionless forum is the tool of the weak-minded.

Believe me, I'm getting a kick out of watching you squirm.
