considering how bioware employees have been proven to issue outright fallacies with regards to... well... just about everything, i will be more than a little surprised if they dont do a whole EC thing at E3

It makes sense that they are reluctant to promote that piece of DLC, especially at an event as big as E3 because it would directly draw attention to the the, I guess by now we can say fact, that they screwed up.

Then there would be questions and remarks and... It's just not good.

Exactly, the EC is as close anyone will get for years to any omission that the ending left something to be desired to put it mildly. That's not something they're going to showw at E3 and anyone that thought so was being a bit naive I think.

E3 will either be C&C or a very early DA3 information spot.

The longer they spend, the more I expect from it! The more time they spend, the better the end!

I just love how there have been two MP expansion packs created, but not one word from them on the EC. The only information we have gotten has been from VAs, and even then, we are just assuming they are working on the EC.

Considering Bioware's current connection, or lack thereof, to it's customer base, I have very little hope for the EC.

I know this is hours ago, but I have to get this off my chest. Yes. Yes we do, because you shoehorn 'the film world and how it works' into every thread, even when it's completely irrelevant. We get it.

LOL.

A different team at BW is doing MP content, it's got nothing to do with the EC.

BW has tweeted about the VA's coming back for more work too, not just the VAs.

Don't set yourself up to hate the EC, stay open minded.

They aren't even in the same city. They even have different budgets. The Extended Cut was not planned. Waiting four or five months is a GOOD thing. You can have a feature film shot in that amount of time.

The voice actors are returning, at least the main ones are, as is Lance Henrickson, who plays Admiral Hackett.

I've had WAY too much fun at Mr. Gamble's expense with his name.

At least I got him to respond once.

They wouldn't be spending four or five months of THEIR lives, at the cost of thousands of dollars just to release ****.

I know I can't convince anyone, but I can offer proof of my sincerity. I have been right about everything that has come out, and I predicted it weeks ago.

Take that as you will.

They wouldn't.. aren't we talking about this DLC because they did exactly that in the first place?

Whether or not it is **** is subjective, but I can certainly tell you they aren't goofing around.

This needs to be couched in more speculative terms.

Although multiplayer was principally handled in Montreal (while the game is in Edmonton), we don't actually know how the live team is currently assembled. For all we know, it could all be done in Montreal now, single- and multiplayer post-release content both (although writing and production will still be in Edmonton, of course).

We know there were two teams in the past, and we know that multiplayer is going ahead without regard for the single-player delays, but we don't know who's doing all the work anymore.

Like they apparently did the first time around, necessitating the EC DLC.

Goofing around isn't the word I'd use...disconnect is something I find more viable here.

They truly, truly believed that they had something good, The Final Hours app sort of makes that clear to me.

And good intentions pave the road to Hell. The trucks are full of Mass Effect-y goodness.

They hit a truck carrying manure as far as I'm concerned. I wonder if they can wash it off with the EC. The smell will sill be there though.

"Disconnect" I think is a good word to use, they hit that truck because they changed themes.   "Organic vs Synthetic" was a theme they wanted to explore from conception of ME and ME1 is theme consistent.   That changed in ME2 and by the end of we had some Synthetics on our side against the Reapers.   ME3 continued that new theme with EDI's continued growth & the Geth-Quarian arc then did a sudden back-flip at the end with Star-brat.

They were not consistent in that theme to the point where most of us did not consider "Organic vs Synthetic" as a central theme in Mass Effect.   The theme evolved in ME2 and ME3 to become something like a "United Organic & Synthetic galaxy VS the Reapers".

Somewhere they became disconnected from the evolving storyline they created and returned to an theme that no longer fit the lore they created.

I've never known a company to go to E3 simply to announce a DLC, except in the rare case that its a really big expansion-type DLC. I'm not sure what people expected. Its been announced, and they can't show off anything without it being a spoiler. Getting to E3 and setting stuff up for it would require much more time and hassle than, say, a trailer, or simply just releasing the EC without little more than in-game notification or something.

Plus, you can't really expect any company to spend a lot of time and effort promoting something that basically just draws attention to the fact that they managed to disappoint a large number of their fanbase. No company would want to do that, and you can't exactly blame them.

They've already said the EC is on the way. Just let them do their thing.

That hopefully means it will be the rumoured September release then. Which means we're hopefully looking at Project Overlord/LOTSB volumes of content, which can obviously only be a good thing.

Maybe, assuming Bioware actually get how badly they screwed up, we'll even get IT bolted on and a whole new proper ending instead of polishing the turd of an ending we have now. I mean, sure, we won't, but one can dream of ME actually getting the send off it deserves.

Only if they're animating 1-2 hours of cutscenes. They already said that there is no new gameplay in the EC.

Why do people want more info on the EC? They already told us what it is, explaining the endings "better". Beyond the release date when it's ready there is really nothing more they could tell us.

Well since most of the ME 2 crew were at best small cameo's the chances of her are slim I would think, I don't expect to see Jack's VA back either.

They said no new endings.

"More answers"

Closure, clarification could mean anything.

They have contradicted themselves before, including when they mentioned reworked dialouge.

I'll wait and see.

A wordless reunion is fine as well. I'm not asking for much Bioware.

Needless to say, if Weekes gets his way, she'll be back. He made great strides to let us know that a book that was full of love for those characters was with their respective writers.

I'll just wait and see.

That might be an option for them but then they will open themseleves up to more complaints about the ME 2 LI's other than Garrus and Tali being second rate.

We may not heard from all VA's yet.  I'm happy to think I'll MAYBE get my reunion with LI Kaidan, but what about my other Shepards who romanced Liara, Tali, Miranda and Steve?   I'd be shocked if Liara doesn't get more VO time, she is the Dev favorite.

Either that or maybe instead of a "LI reunion" they're doing a epilogue with a funeral or memorial service with the above listed VA's.   That'd explain the absence of the others including Meer & Hale.

Assuming there is a "LI reunion" (BW please) it could be just music and cinematic with any VO via off-screen narration. I can see the VS or EDI voice over a scene on jungle-world  that shows shuttles coming down to the Normandy wreck site.  Shepard stepping out of the fist shuttle and reuniting with the crew.  VO something like, "After Shepard recovered, she/he worked tirelessly to mount a search & rescue mission.  The Normandy was found within the year.  A holo-cam captured the following shot of Shepard reuniting with his love and quickly became one of the most popular post-war videos on the Extranet."
