I didn't let my brother lend my ME3, told him that he wouldn't want to play it till the end. He gets it after the DLC comes out that hopefully fixes the ending.

I would still recommend playing the whole series, ME3 is good too despite the ending some other minor things.

No the ending would have killed the series for them especially if they play the first two first.

I would recommend ME1 & ME2. And ME3...maybe after EC (and DLC including cure for Thane).

Nope. My sister recently got a PS3, and offered to buy her ME2 if she wanted to play it (because it was that good) ... but not ME3.

Yeah, I would actually recommend ME3 to my friends. Mostly, because I'd recommend ME1 and ME2 to them and then why not finish the story?

Sure, I'd let them know not to think too much about the ending, but the main warning I'd give them was the forced multiplayer add on. And based on that warning, I think a lot of my friends would say: "Okay, naah, that's not my kind of game".

Had somebody told me about the multiplayer part, I'd have waited for a clearance sale.

At the very least, ME2 + Comic before ME3. If you only give someone ME3 to play, then they will be left with a sour taste in their mouth and prob hate you for wasting 20hours of their lives.

On a side note,

Of course. The trilogy is still one of the greatest gaming experiences of my life. That said, I might be otherwise engaged when they reach the end of ME3 lol.

Very few games have good endings. Usually just unsatisfactory "ding, dong, the witch is dead" type stuff after an annoyingly hard boss fight. The journey is most certainly more important than the destination with ME IMHO, and what a journey it is!

Yes, the ride is great. The end...not so much.

I'd recommend that, they "STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM IT!" There is too much wrong with the game, more then the ending, more then the auto-dialogue, more then the Banshee Azure, more then the stupidly lame ending, SO MUCH MORE WRONG, especially the way it handled characters, both minor and major, minor character from ME1 that didn't make it back, minor characters from ME2, the loose end Vido Santiago, the freaking ME2 LI's Thane, Jacob, Kelly, Samara, Miranda, Jack, the treatment of too many of these beloved characters is enough to make me vomit, the fact BW greatly cut most the leaked script content of Kelly, Zaeed, and Kasumi.

All of it is pure and simple awful, NO I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ME3 to anyone, I'd tell them to STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM IT!!!

My girlfriend already plays Mass Effect, she doesn't like games a lot, but she loves Mass Effect. And then all my friends play games and they already know ME.

I was sort of like that - like your girlfriend. Games and me? Nah. I could never get "into" them. Mass Effect, however, made me a huge entrance to start appreciating games. So to people like *me* I'd definitely recommend ME 1-3; but for "core fanbase"-like players .. not so much.

I'll introduce them to the first game and express a wish for Bioware to have made a sequel.

ME1 & 2 are great IMO

but the 3rd game as a whole isn't. It's rushed. You notice that right away.....waste of $$$ unless they start adding SP DLC characters. I'll say, for your own good, start with ME 1,2 and wait till EC DLC comes out and then make a decision

Yes, I love the ME series. Up until the endings I thought ME3 was a fantastic game, even the endings didn't make me rage... I just went "Meh" and dealt with it. As a whole I think that all three games delivered in entertainment value.

About half the time I do reconsider urging my best friend to play all three games, just so he could experience that train wreck of an ending in all of its glory.

I let my buddy borrow my Xbox to play ME1 and 2, this was before ME3. Was planning to do the same thing with ME3, but then I played the game, haha.

As a whole ME3 is an awesome game so hell yea. On 1 condition: that they play ME and ME2 first. Otherwise they'll miss one of the best gaming experiences you can get. In my opinion)
