I have Windows 7 64bit.
I can log in to the game just fine (it never does it automatically though, just says "Please try again." and I log in manually), but I can't upload any screenshots. It'll get to 100% then say "Unable to access your online profile storage. The account information provided may be invalid." I was able to download the DLC that came with the regular edition.
On my profile I can see my achievements, but none of my characters get updated.
I have tried opening up all the ports on my router and ecncapability is disabled by default.

Fist, there is actually a forum for the social site, which might have more answers for you.  Second, have you tried the trouble-shooting listed in the social site FAQ here?

You need to open those ports in your firewall or router if they are blocked. They may not be. Sometimes characters just take a bit to upload.

No. The ports exist. Your firewall software or router software may or may not be blocking this port by default. If they were, you would need to unblock them- the process for which would vary depending on your specific firewall software or router. If your screenshots are uploading, this is probably NOT your issue. Try going through the steps in the trouble-shooting FAQ I linked above. Please read the FAQ and confirm that you have actually done all of the trouble-shooting things it suggests.

This is ridiculous. I have spent a lot of money on DLC and now I can't download it through the game. I can only download it manually. When I install it manually, it does show up in the game, but only as 'Unauthorized'.

I have tried all the fixes and suggestions here. No luck. We need a new patch from EA to fix this, as it has spoilt a lot of peoples enjoyment of this game.

I had to re-install this game after I wiped my Windows XP x86 system and installed Windows 7 x64. I thought I could download all me characters progress from the servers, but no. I'm right back at the beginning again. and I am not happy.

I have Dragon Age 2 and that I can login and download DLC through the game with absolutely no problem. Whatever works with Dragon Age 2 needs to ported to Dragon Age Origins so that they both work.

Maybe those affected should get their money back from EA, as Dragon Age is now hobbled, and we are not getting the game we paid for. I would just uninstall Dragon Age Origin and forget about it, but I enjoyed the game and was really getting into it.

I am not a happy puppy.

I have found a solution to this issue. As far as I can tell, it has nothing to do with ports and firewalls, but a simple password issue. That is, your password cannot contain any 'special characters' (#~!"£$%, etc.), only letters and numbers. My password had one special character. I logged into my account, reset my password to one that did not contain any special character. I was then able to login to DA:O without any further issue. I can download and buy DLC from within the game and, presumably as I haven't tried it yet, epload screen shots, etc. Hop this works.
