I never got such 'helpers'.
3 Customer support usages all successful.
Be careful when speaking with EA support... has anyone else had similar experiences?

I had a similar issue back in June of 2010 trying to get the Medal of Honor demo working. I gave him the code (which wouldn't work) and the emails I had received prior to the chat room, his response was "This is not a valid code" over and over again. After about fifteen minutes he just disconnected.

If I'd be answering calls 12 hours a day, at night, in a "barely not third world country" from Americans complaining about BFIII in-game character...
Well I'd look in a mirror and say: "F*** me"

I've contacted EA support by chat twice and by phone once and I had top-notch service every time. If I had a problem that was fixable, they fixed it super quick and apologized for the problem. This guy just sounds like one a-hole having a bad day; either that or he just had really poor comprehension of the English language.

I actually believe that, if his responses were copied and pasted indeed, his use of the language is very poor.1490 wrote...or he just had really poor comprehension of the English language.

When I contact customer support through phone, I always get 'Steve' from 'Ohio', but 'he' is actually very helpful, despite his horrid 'American' accent.

Wow. That's very surprising... I only tried the live chat support once, during the PC Online Code error period that kept most of us from playing. There was nothing they could do for me of course, but they were incredibly formal and polite.
