Would you have forgiven most/all the other things if the ending for ME3 was great?

I'll forgive everything if Shepard gets to see Miranda again.

Hook. Line. Sink.

^ ???

Yeah sure. The whole point of the ending controversy is I guess something to do with the ending. So maybe a great ending would help a little fix that issue. Maybe.

Not really, the journal and fetch quests were just too rushed but I wouldn't be as disappointed with the game as I am now.

I'm assuming "all the other things" means the bugs, issues with journals, side quests, etc, that people complain about. And if so I say yes, I didn't have much of an issue with them anyway, IMO people wouldn't have had as much of a problem if they were satisfied with the end.

Nah, they'd just seem more important because there wasn't such a massive flaw to rage over instead. xP

Yeah, the auto dialogue is big problem to me, but if the ending was great, I'd reduce it down to a minor complaint. But sadly after enduring an awful ending like that the other bad things about the game tend to stick out to me more.....

Yes, I think I would. I really just want to know what happened to my Li, team ect.. I can live with the star child if they just tell me what happens.

This but with ANY LI you have.
Seriously people who romanced an ME2 introduced squadmate deserve just as much if not a little extra. All their romances were practically non existant.
-Need that house on Rannoch to be built btw, Liara and blue babies, Jack needs to get laid, last peak at Miranda's ass, adopt little baby Garrus's etc

Hey, I overheard you needed some hairspray, so I flew my ship through six mass relays, bought 20000 credits worth of fuel, evaded reapers, and scanned a planet for hours for your hairspray.

No game is perfect.

But a great ending to ME3 would have led to A LOT of oversight on smaller problems. Even on my part.

If the ending was what was promised to us, and we got an awesome conclusion based on our choices, I'd forgive them

However I won't forgive what they did with tali's face, there's no excuse for that kind of lazy indifference in their game.

They need to redesign that face or at least make an ACTUAL reveal and make it at least look like an alien, then they need to scrub all the floors in hyrule castle THEN we can talk about forgiveness!

As it stands a good ending would help me overlook all the little flaws ME3 has, but the currently poor one we have now only makes such flaws more glaring.

Well, even ignoring the ending, the game is still utterly fantastic all the way through so I don't know what I should be forgiving here...

This.
The fetch questions and the things I had to do for some heat sinks.
"Thanks for the heat sinks!"
"That's it?.... THAT'S IT!? I ****ING JUST GOT CHASED DOWN BY THREE REAPERS WHO NEARLY KILLED MY WHOLE CREW JUST TO GET YOU SOME HEAT SINKS! AND ALL YOU HAVE TO SAY IS THANKS!? The **** is your problem man!?"

Depends. What are we counting at as the end? From the hill onward, or Priority: London in its entirety. Because the entirety of that mission was underwhelming and lackluster to me. The lack of assets and surviving squadmates in action was a HUGE let down far before I saw the catalyst.

The auto dialogue and the fetch quests were problems too.

Well I guess it's a no to the original question.

You know while I was playing I was thinking, "this game has flaws but that's alright the ending is going to be epic. I'm sure they ignored all these other problems just to give us an awesome and fulfilling conclusion. The other things can be amended later with DLC."

I was a fool.

Eeeh, I wouldn't have completely overlooked the flaws. But I at least would have more replay value and a sense of accomplishment. Hell, it made me forgive a lot of ME2's shortfalls.

Well, I'd still be disappointed that the side missions were lackluster. Combining planet scanning with fetch quests smells of a rush job.

But I could probably get over that given that I played these games for the story.

If the endings had been epically awesome, id have forgiven everything else.
If the endings had been decent and satisfying i wouldnt have forgiven everything else but would wave them off as insignificant
But the endings are just so bad that it has caused me and everyone else to scrutinize the other flaws with the game, and because of the bitter taste of the ending, suddenly those flaw seem much, much worse than when i initially experienced them in the game
