I just read chapter 34. This was a great chapter as usual.  It's interesting that Del has a sister.

I enjoyed both Chapter 35 and 36. I just hope Del and Liara find some sort of happiness.

All caught up again, have been really enjoying your last few chapters, despite of (or maybe because of?) the darkness. Can't wait to see where this is all going!

As an aside, it's interesting to me that these latest chapters seem to have caused quite a bit of worry & angst in your readership, judging by the FF.net comments. Lots of concern over (1) Del's deteriorating mental state (which yeah, okay, is fairly alarming considering she's none too stable to begin with); (2) possible Traynor shenanigans (eh, based on what you've written so far, I think people are overreacting...but I also think whatever direction you take this will be quite interesting); and (3) now Liara's near-death experience (eek!)

The point of this little ramble is that although I know people can't help being anxious when they get emotionally invested in characters/a story, I feel the concern is unwarranted based on your past writings. You have always seemed to know where the story is headed, have always made the journey to get there supremely entertaining, and have always ensured the destination is worthwhile. Don't know why anyone would worry any of that would change now (honestly, so long as your story doesn't end with a bratty star child babbling color-coded nonsense, you're golden in my book :D)

Pretty much what AtlAggie said.

I’m still trying to organize my thoughts on 37…or, well, as organized as they ever are, but anyway, figured I’d postpone review until such time.

Thank you :D Definitely no star child or color-coded nonsense. I swear it on the grave my fans would bury me in if I DID do that watered down crap :D

Other than that, I liked it better than the original ending. But that's like saying, I like this turd that's been sitting out a while and doesn't smell any more, better than the fresh one that's still steaming.

You made me cry!

Ha! You make your fans sound so.....bloodthirsty. *quickly hides torch and pitchfork behind back*

Although...you may have to have a certain personality to find Del lovable & charming, so perhaps you're right to worry :D

I’ve had some issues with the last few chapters…I think I may need to draw a new heart soon to make up for that.

Currently re-reading DE2 while waiting for new chapters. It's the only fanfiction I've ever really gotten into, too many others aren't particulary well written or have a million unnecessary sex scenes (note, not saying I hate ALL other ME fanfiction, just never had much interest in a majority of them). Your writing is giving me the inspiration to get started on my ownB)

Also a public extranet health warning, unless you want to die a horrible death, never go up to Del and play this on your omni-tool

I was going to begin reading this, however, I noticed in the author notes you mentioned that there are deleted and changed scenes for that edition. Would it be possible to receive the aforementioned link or did you end up scrapping that entire idea of editing? I know the Author's Notes said to send you a message, but I do not have an account on that website and am not currently interested in signing up for one. I figured this would be as good a place as any to request it though if not, I apologize.

Looking forward to reading it either way though. The entire Dark Energy concept always interested me and it should be fun to see how and where a fan takes it.

Well, the original mature version is only different up until chapter 10, and only the first DE is published thus. No reason I can't put the original ME link up here...enjoy! http://masseffectfanfic.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=fanfic&action=display&thread=1165

Yeah, the blue is painful :) Also, heads up, I will be editing the last chapter a tiny bit. I didn't do my full usual reread (in which I usually catch my sillier inconsistencies) and as a result, I fubar'd the scene with Eir and Misira. So I'll be fixing that :)
