ok so i've been experiencing something every once in awhile.

immortal enemies

they take no damage

shots go through them as if they're ghosts

they cannot be hurt by powers

they cannot be targeted by powers (ie, cant use biotic charge nor have warp lock in on them)

they can still hurt us

the wave cannot end except in defeat or... the leader leaves the game and restarts the wave

while i tend to host all games when running with my friends as i have the best connection among us this is not usually a problem.. i leave, they invite me back, and i rejoin and retain my score and credits from before leaving... but... when i leave and soemone else joins the game before my friends can reinvite me that pisses me off... just happened about an hour ago in the first match of the night and i rage quit from ME3 for the night and just switched to watching anime

bioware: these immortal enemies have not been uncommon and have appeared when various people host on various maps on various difficulties. from what i can tell they all have happened when someone pulls said enemy over cover for a grab and they live.

i witnessed tonight's occur

FBWGG on xbox: rocket trooper was sabotaged by yours truely then a squadmate pulled it over cover and sh*t hit the fan

disclaimer: this is not a thread about FBWGG, while i do play those matches occasionally i do not do them stricktly for credits but instead i actually enjoy it

I have sometimes that bug, where Cerberus Stormtrooper, Geth Trooper or Reaper Cannibal are immortal. But If i don't kill them, someone else might kill.

I play on PC.

It's a well known glitch. You ain't alone. Usually happens when an enemy ignores your grab and hops over the wall to hit you but at the same time the game registers the grab.

The best way to circumvent this so far is simply to plan the grabs in advance or start holding the grab button when they advance on you.

From my experience, immortal enemies is a sign the host is about to disconnect. Never had it happen anytime except then.

Yep immortal enemies happen occasionally . All 3 times I have had this happen is when I tried to grab kill an enemy and something would cause the animation to fail and the enemy would now be unkillable .

Resetting the wave as host is a good way to fix it for the other 3. Too bad someone else gets to join and take your spot sometimes.

It has happened to me a handful of times. It sometimes WAS a precursor to a disconnect, but usually if you wait it out (5-6 min) it just vanishes and the next wave begins..

There are a couple of ways I've seen this issue be resolved. First is to try to get him to go up or down a ladder, he typically falls through the floor and dies from this. Second is to stasis him (if you have a stasis carrying character). Third if he's the immortal stuck character (most commonly Cerberus on Reactor) you might be able to instant-cast him to death (overload, ED, Reave, etc). Finally, occasionally if you drag him back to the cover he was grabbed from, you can finish the grab kill and he'll die.

If those don't work, I'm sorry but I don't know. Anyone else?
