..and its just not explained enough but requires the player to logically conclude it throughout the final sequence is that what the catalyst is just a soul of a child? A child that those who created the reapers made a catalyst becase "children are so innocent and they usually suprise us with their ways of thinking". So you give the kid a control of the strongest fleet in the galaxy and see what happens, because everyone else has ran out of ideas. The kid went "Control" just like Illusive man wanted, and is pretty much what you becomeif you choose the Control ending. Because if you do, you'll notice that the Citadel actually doesn't explode, because it's a home to a Catalyst, to you. So the kid harvested all the species that lived in his time and forged a plan. "Synthetics will always rebel against their creators. So I'm just gonna have some 500 years of fun every 50 000 years. The kid went crazy. And that's it.
So the kid couldn't predict the whole Crucible thing. And it didn't want to move the Citadel sooner because they didn't find it that important. It was heavily guarded and not many people lived on the station. So once they figured it out, the Reapers then attacked the Citadel and took control of the station while you were exploring the Cronos Station. And that's the thing they forgot to show us, the battle of the Citadel, how Destiny Ascension and all other fleets fled from the Widow system. And they didn't want that because they were saving that news until we killed Kai Leng at Cronos, and it should've been like HOLY CRAP! But insted, the effect it had on us was "What the ****?!?". I don' know where are they going to squeeze in the Battle of The Citadel. So the whole ending kind of a makes sense, but it requires a lot of thinking. And it shouldn't be like that.
And just as the Crucible connected to the Citadel, it changed the kid. The kid only had control over the reapers, but couldn't destroy the Crucible because it was heavily defended. So the only thing that was left for the kid was to hope that you're gonna choose the "Syntesis" or the "Control" ending. They only missed a couple of hundred line between "Attack the Cronos Station" and "Make your final choice".
I'm figuring they were in a hurry, cause the whole team was probably working on SWTOR so that they could launch it before holidays. And they didn't have enough time. I could've waited until now, or next month, for that matter. The folks at Bioware are not retarded, proven by everything else they made. Yeah, I even liked Dragon Age 2 despite it's repetitive dungeons and houses, low quality audio which resulted in them trying to compress the game to a floppy disc (7gb, what the ****) and an empty city that is supposedly "full of refugees". The Dragon Age 2 wasn't a "save the world" story, it was a story about fighting the human wickedness. And that's why I like Dragon Age 2. Anyway, I'm just hoping that they're going to explain everything the way they should have almost three months ago.
What it all could actually be about..
