I tried writing a new script for a spell. It went reasonably well and even compiled.

However, this also created a folder called "Demo" under my documents\\bioware\\dragon age\\add-ins. I tried removing the folder after exiting the toolset, and now when I attempt to load any save games, it complains that the module "Demo" is missing. I can force-load the save and everything seems to be working (phew), but I'd like to understand what the hell happened here.

More importantly, I'd like to understand how I can stop this from happening again. Any pointers?

I am guessing you had the Demo module open and not a new custom module.

Thus, it created the folder

You should create a new module then tinker in that, your custom stuff should go into the yourmodulename override folders

Point taken, but how do I get rid of the demo module now?

You cannot get rid of modules, but you can delete that folder. But I think you already did that.

The toolset breaks save games, but there is a fix.

Check this out ... perhaps it will help.

After you Force-Load without the module, make another save. The new save will have been made without the mod, so you shouldn't see that error again. Either way, it's not really that big a problem if everything is working fine. The Demo module is a stand-alone mod, so it shouldn't actually affect the game.
