when I use the steal skill 99.9% of the time I get a "stealing success" but no items are EVER looted. with the exception that about one in every 20 "successfull" steal gets me a few coppers. the key word here is successfull attempts, even when Im successfull I still get nothing...this works fine on my PC version but not on the PS3.

by the way, where the heck is the forum search function, i would have tried to search for this topic before posting it but I can not for the life of me find the forum search function, when i use search at the top of the page it just searches player profiles. Because I assume this has already been posted by someone else, at least I hope it has.

LOL nevermind on this part, im just blind thats all!!! I found the forum search function.

As reported by some user, it seems stealing don't work at all or work as it should depending on how lucky and persistant you are. Here how to make it work: Load a game and try to steal. If it work then fine otherwise quit your game and reload and try again until it works.

This is not true.

You steal things that usually stack, such as crafting bits, potions, etc.

Its onyl when you steal a named item does it say "Item Acquired".

Aye. If you wanna see stolen items then(i think PC only) set the inventory to: "Show newest first".

The stolen items wil be at the top now.

Ofc the stacked items will stay at the place where they were before the steal attempt.

Dunno for Console-versions...

Ahh, I wished they had the same stealing system as Oblivion had. That was a good stealing system...

WRONG..... I have done this with a completely EMPTY inventory. and even when you get a "stealing success" you get ZERO items .....try again! thanks! This of coarse only applies to the console (PS3) version. this works fine on PC. (I own both)
