Hi Devs:  Just wondering if I play a bad character and I like to have my armor in black, is there any chance of recoloring it when buying or taking off a dead?  I was looking through the addon pages (Warden's Keep) when I saw the black and gold armor that ghoul had on (that armor would look great on my bad female/male warrior Image IPB).

There's no dying of armors, but if you play on the PC you could change certain armors to a color more your liking, if you so desired.

Do you mean as an in-game option, or via the toolset?

I'd imagine it wouldn't be long for mods to come out for this (for PC players), anyway.

Via toolset or mods, yes.

I loved the purchasable dyes in NWN1 mods... Not sure if anyone came up with a system for NWN2 though.

They did, albeit it was only a shadow of what NWN1 had and only offered a limit number of "sets" to pick from.

dying items feels to me little unrealistic, if id be middle that epic battle I wouldnt worry how I look :)

and for me finding rewards and mix diffrend looks is rewarding also, I just hate if you would need yourself adjust them look good... :S

Bioware already recolored each armor about 10 times sadly enough. theres very few different models.

I remember those, I created that system for the second expansion pack.

At this point however, there is no support for run-time colors on Dragon Age armor. Dragon Age equipment is an order of magnitude more complicated than NWN armor I fear. But who knows what the future might bring.

Plus, if you wear light armor, all you get is a bunch of recolors anyway.

Well it would be nice if the future held more armors that are NOT heavy/massive.
Pretty please.

isn't all this what mods are for, right? Just look at fallout 3, theres OH so many mods that do so many things that do things should ( and sometimes shouldn't ) be done in the original copy but wasn't :)

There is none that works like NWN1 dyes, but there are plenty of tools available that allow you to custom the armor look, from models, to color, ingame and on the fly. Some more complex than others.

Up on NWVault.
