- Sword : You sometimes find Runes, Runes can be added to an item (sword) if they are weapon runes. They add fire/frost/electricity dmg or certain defensive properties.

-The Dragonblood armor is available from the merchant in the party camp, there's only 1 part of the armor.

-Gaining you companions loyalty/friendship is done my making choices they agree to OR talking to them in the party camp choosing the right dialogue options. This enables romances for some.

-Don't know about the statistics never bothered to check them myself. Maybe someone else can answer that.

And the first time you play DAO it's mostly trial and error, if you want a 'good playthrough' with certain goals set you can always google some of the quests/dialogues etc. The second playthrough is way better then the first.

I think you press the camp button which looks like a tent or is there a different one on the top right of the map which I've never used. Now I''ve confused myself.  Anyone else answer the question for me?

You get access to the party camp once you are out of Lothering. After that, you can access the camp from the world map - it's the tent icon on the top right corner of the map.

Along your journeys you can buy or find runes that can be placed on weapons and armor with those empty slots you mention. This can be done by talking to a specific character in your party camp, who is able to do enchanting.

You can gain (or lose) loyalty with your companions by talking to them at camp, or sometimes out of camp. The other way to improve their opinion of you is to give them gifts - specific characters like specific kinds of gifts. Try it out, and if you get only +1 or +2 for a gift, then you know that that person probably doesn't much care for that kind of a gift. Gifts that they like give higher boosts.

Some gifts are unique, in that they hold some special meaning to one of your companions. You can get an idea of what these gifts would be by talking to your companions. If you try to give a gift that is meaninful to one character to some other character, they'll refuse the gift, so you can't accidentally lose a significant gift by giving it to the wrong person.

You give gifts by going to the inventory screen of the character you want to give the gift to, right clicking on the gift in your inventory, and selecting give.

Don't know about the armor - I don't have it myself.

It sometimes takes some time for your online profile to update - it can sometimes lag days behind your current status.

Don't forget that you can offend or please companions by in-game actions in their presence. For example : when you talk to a certain scholar, he asks about his friend, who you found dead. If you choose the dialogue option "I found him stuffed into a box,", and Leiliana is in the party, she disapproves because of the lack of tact.

Don't know about the armor - I don't have it myself.

You get one piece as soon as you load the game for the first time after installing. The rest are added to the merchant in camp. (Who is right next to the enchanter.)

You're telling me.

 How could I do it?

Only one person can do that for you, it is called "Enchantment!" ^_^

You always find him at the party camp except in few occasions

I edit the original post and instead, middle of the post get remove, I will make the new questions with new posts, my apologizes for the issue.

I noted there are elements(fire, ice etc) that can be use with powers or adding them to the weapons, my question is, how do I know which element is best for each enemy?

Thank you very much.

Most informations about the enemies are in the codex when you encounter them. Some are misleading however. You can refer to DA:O Wiki.

Another way is try and error, for example if you have a mage with elemental power, try cast them on the enemy and see if it give any effect. But mind you, some enemies do have resistence to elemental damage but not elemental effect, you may see the elemental effect but give no damage.

Some spells are also misleading, for example Stone Fist, it is nature spell but give physical damage. So if you cast it to nature resisted enemies it will give damage.

You can also find info from dialogue and quest, sometimes there is a hint about the enemy weakness.

Lastly, using logic, for example, fighting a dragon that breathe fire, for sure fire don't effect them :P

Thank you very much for the help and effort, I appreciate it :).

I will check the codex then, I always check it, althought  I have only read two or three "Creatures". Its funny how most of the time I use the element that looks better on my sword, enlist it was an obvius chose(Like what to use with the flame demons).

I always try to call the firefighters for those cases :P

Again, thank you.

Note that you can make your own runes in Awakening. The expansion also introduces armor runes.

Anytime ^_^

As for runes, this is my playstyle, when i acquire 2 or 3 rune slot weapons, i usually enchant them with 2 or 3 effects. because i am too lazy to change runes every time.

For example,

Topsider's Honor Sword already have +6 damage to Undead and +25% Spirit Resistence, i will enchant with Grandmaster Flame Rune +5 Fire Damage, Grandmaster Lightning Rune +5 Electrical Damage and Grandmaster Silverite Rune +10 Damage Against Darkspawn

If playing Dual Wield Warrior/Rogue or Two Handed Weapon Warrior, it is good to have resistance rune enchantment as well, Such as Grandmaster Hale Rune +25 Physical Resistance and/or Grandmaster Dewnomer Rune +10 magic Resistance

Frost and Flame runes don't stack

Special attacks do not count rune damage, only normal attack count.

Do you have access to the camp? You have to proceed past Lothering. Once there, talk to Sandal (one of the dwarves) and he'll offer to enchant your weapons (those that have rune slots). His "father" Bodahn will sell runes.

You must be at party camp, or certain places in certain occasions to meet a dwarf kid that only say few words, "Enchantment!"

This only happen when party camp is available for you AND when you have meet the father and son on the road in an occasion. You need to leave Lothering for them to appear in the camp however. After that they will follow you everywhere you go and be at the party camp except in certain time.

You can buy some runes from his father or at certain shops throughout Ferelden or find them anywhere as loots. There is also a quest that give you rune as a reward. If you acquire both runes and weapon that can be enchanted with, talk to the dwarf kid named Sandal, he can enchant for you. he is the only one in the game can enchant weapons. His father also mention that his kid can enchant armor but there is no way in Origin, it is not implemented

By the way, to enchant weapon, just talk to Sandal, then it will open up enchantment screen, if you have the weapon and the runes, they both will show up at the screen, select the weapon you want then drag and drop the runes into the slot(s) (for PC, i am not sure the mechanic for PS3/XBox), then it is settled :)

Note : Save some runes to upgrade your Grey Warden ally in main quest, if you have them as allies

never judge a book by it's cover

you won't believe what you see in the end about that kid...

about "save some runes for Grey Warden allies" i don't mean your companions, but your allies regarding the treaties. But you might have other allies that not in the treaties, it is depended on your choices in the game. When you gain allies in the main quest, you can upgrade them by contributing some items to them in the boxes in your camp. It is for the final battle.

Use one (as if it is a health potion), and then open up your character stats page. You will see the effect it has. There will be a short-term boost to one of your resistance values.

They can also be used to create more powerful salves -- this assuming you have all the recipes you need and a companion with sufficient skill in herbalism.

Those are ingredients to make salves and bombs. You need Herbalism skills and Poison Making skills. You also need recipes, you may buy recipes from any vendor that sell them.

Some of your companions already have such skills, they maybe have some recipes already.

To activate the bomb, just click on the bomb then click on target area

I have very basic herbalism skills(lever 2 or 3 I think) so I never have the option to even see the formulas.

Now that I know it, next time I can upgreat it I will.

Thank you to both of you, much appreciate it :).

Should you buy the recipes, just click on the Herbalism or Poison Making icon, it will open up the menu...(yeah, everything in this game is in the menu lols), you should see the recipes and whether you have reach certain level to make them. If you not reach the level it will be marked in red in the menu.

Believe me, bombs are useful....throwing different kind of bombs is like casting chained spells. Good for crowd control. The tactic is use 2 or 3 companions throw bombs at the same time...

Everybody need level 1 in Poison Making to use bombs of any level, means you don't need to upgrade Poison Making above level 1 to use higher level bombs, however above level 1 Poison Making enabling the character to make higher level bombs.
