Also got Win7 64-bit and mine is a Collector's Edition.

Resurgence downloaded without problems when that was released.
Given up on contacting EA Support, they don't seem to know anything at the moment.

Hope that if they don't know what problem is, they will release a separate downloadable installer file.

Same specs here.
Resurgence downloaded fine last time. Now I can;t get any DLC to download.
Support is oblivious to what is causing this.

Same here (Win7-64). Reinstalled Origin and ME3, but that didn't help either.

Tried installing Resurgence on my laptop and it gave me the same problem. I'm pretty sure it is a server-side issue.

This appears to be a server side or ACCOUNT based issue. My PC has no issues, i own the Collectors Edition. My buddy down the street has the standard edition and is running into the same issue - so we tried an experiment. He came to my house and logged into Origin on my PC, downloaded and installed ME3 and then tried downloading the Rebellion DLC - EXACT SAME ERROR.

So there is nothing wrong witht he local clients - it's a server/Account issue.

yeah it "must" be a server or account issue and not pc , because i could download the two OTHER DLCs (from ashes and the first mp dlc) "without" any problem

Well, if you can't download the DLC and have a friend who plays ME3, tell him/her to give you the Rebellion folder. They can find it in Mass Effect 3\\BIOGame\\DLC under the name DLC_CON_MP2. Copy it into your DLC folder.
If  the problem occured after you purchased it on Origin, it should recognize it, even if it still gives you errors when you try to download. Just get in-game and play.
It worked for me.

Downloading the DLC files and putting it in your PC seems that it should violate the TOC. Even though the DLC is free, it is still not listed in your registered DLC list. I'm not sure I want to take that chance.....although I am really tempted.

On a side note, how big is the rebellion DLC folder?

If you didn't click in Origin to purchase(and register) the DLC, even if you had the files it would not recognize it. The DLC is aimed for online playing, so I am sure there are precautionary measures taken. It is a short-term solution to a problem nobody seems to know the cause of.
As for the folder, around 130 MB.

I installed the DLC from origin, it's listed on my game but It doesn't update, just keeps getting the error 123 message.  I even tried using the newer origin which many have suggested and it still doesn't work.

It's not a client issue - at least not for the problem the majority of the people in this thread have. If it were a client issue when my friend tried to purchase the DLC off my machine it would not have failed, because I did successfully purchase it.    The only thing that changed was the account logged into my computer, and the version of the game (Collectors Vs. Standard).

If he logs into origin now, after clicking on purchase and getting the error - it still shows up as unpurchased - so he can't copy the folder.

I wonder if EA support could set a flag in their system for you guys that sets the rebellion DLC to purchased. If set, it might just trigger the download/installation. If not, but still set, then the file copy remains a possibility.

Tried asking EA that, but they can not do that. Which is either A) strange or B) the support rep thought I meant EA was to remotely install the files on my computer...

Downloaded it, installed it (in german, no idea why, because my game is in spanish); and nothing happened in the game.
My game is not a digital version, or whatever, if that helps anyone around there with the same problem...

I have raised the matter with Chris Priestly so at least they know....lets hope it helps as we seem to be a neglected minority at the moment.

Same problem, Win 7 64.
Tried everything what was described in the thread - nothing happened.
We just can hope that our minority is not to small for fix...

I've had this issue (There was an error while trying to download this content. Please try again later.) since it was launced; I just assumed the servers were overburdened, but it's still going on now. Several chats with EA support today to no avail; tried pretty much everything they suggested. A friend of mine up the street is also having the same issue.

While I've seen some people seem to think this is a Win7 64-issue, both me and my friend run Vista 64 (and we both have the digital deluxe version). It may seem like it's mainly affecting Win7 64-bit because that's what most gamers run these days. Like posters above, I'm guessing it's server- or account-related, not personal computer trouble or PEBKAC.

So, should EA read this: It isn't the anivirus, nor the firewall, router, proxy, Origin build, ME3 build, corrupted cache, temp files, or any of the other things we're being asked to fix by support.

Nope its not our end causing the problems..Im also Vista myself.
However Chris Priestly has taken down my details and promised to look into it so i suggest contacting him with you help case code as it might help us all.

No, I'm in the US. I'm on a origin tech support chat right now with 'Vishal', repeating the exact same steps I took yesterday.

I'm in Norway.
Adding my post from another thread for completeness sake:

-----------------------------------
I'm having the exact same issue. When I press Get It Now button in the Downloadable Content window I get this error message:
General ErrorAn error has occurred while trying to process your request. Please, try again later.

Been in contact with EA support 3 times
I have done everything they told me, which is:
*Delete Origin game installers
*Disable firewalls
*Disable UAC
*Running Origin as administrator
*Disabled antivirus.
*Repaired Install
*Reinstall Origin (including a beta client)
*Delete Origin data files in ProgramData & User accounts.

Also reinstalled Mass Effect 3 and Origin downloaded my other DLC just fine (From Ashes, CE content, Resurgence).
Which leads me to believe that Origin is unable to register / add Rebellion to my list of Add-Ons & Bonuses list, ie that the game & account knows I have the DLC installed. I haven't gotten to any download and Origin downloaded the other DLCs just fine.

I'm from Canada but I have the european edition. I have contacted EA support (via email) about the matter and they just gave me the instructions to install the DLC (lol). As if I hadn't tried that a hundred times.

Noticed a strange thing when I played multiplayer this afternoon the option for the fourth gear slots shows up but it is greyed out. I could've sworn that it wasn't there yesterday when I installed the 1.03 patch.

Hi Snarf001,

It sounds like most people in this thread are not having the Error 123 issue. For those of you that are facing this issue, please try the following and let me know if it works.
