Timeline?  Did they say anything on release date projected or solid?

No release date, just info about the source material really.  Nothing about the actual game.

TW2, while being awesome story-wise has left me with a bad taste regarding gameplay, and besides it runs horribad.

Unless they improve in both aspects (or for the latter, I buy a new PC) I wont enjoy this game even though the idea and art looks very promising.

Did you play it on a Keyboard? If so that's your problem. If not I don't know what the hell you mean.

Indeed. PC Gamer Master RaceB):P

I dont even own an XBox, and therefore no controller either.

But that is not even what I meant, I meant that it is much too hardware-demanding. On a PC that can run Skyrim, Crysis 2 and the likes on highest settings without any problems, and can even run several older games in the background at the same time, a game should run smooth. Yet TW2 doesnt, in fact combat is nigh-impossible on high graphic settings due to slowdowns and lag.

That's not what I meant at all, Some games do control better with a Gamepad TW2 is one such game, for myself anyway.

Graphic's Card or Built-in?

You HERETIC!  You vile HEATHEN.

Pft if its Scifi, and dark and the name "Warhammer 40k" isn't on the end I just shrug.

And yes blderunner sucked as a movie imo and was boring, give me starwars, Aliens, heck even Star Trek TOS. Bladerunner I'll pass.

I might look into this game when more news is up, but right now, don't care all that much.

I too am a member of the PC Master Race™.  AND I have an xbox controller for it...but you don't seem to be missing much.  It doesn't work in any game I've tried.  It just sits there collecting dust.

Although there was no set release date, CDPR has been talking about releasing 2 AAA+ RPGS in 2013/2014... so I am guessing it's late 2013 or Q1/Q2 of 2014.  Hopefully not Q4 2014. :[

Good. The less people that jump in, the better the chances are that the product will stay pure.

It's based off of the pen n paper RPG CYBERPUNK. SO the best guess I have as to how this would be incorporated is imagining a game like Fallout New Vegas in a world like Bladerunner or Ghost in the shell. There's customization gallore from what they said including weapons.

I just hope I can make a character that looks like Molly Millions.

Omg, if that was the case with the bolded part... nerdgasm.

Ha, GOG is trolling people with the screen Shots of Colonization.  If you check out the screens you can see the names of games that are not availablr on GOG but have been requested for quite a bit such as System Shock 2 and Wasteleand.

Hmm what do you mean by that? I like to think I'm an RPG player and not someone that would demand the game had a dance minigame or some crap. In fact I'm all for having little nichie games, heck I play combat flight games and RTS's. Its just the way steampunk is holds no appeal for me. In fact Ghost in the Shell the eps I like the most were those when they were under attack by forces outside of Japan or delt with the American Empire, or the episodes that primairly delt with Togusa, or showcased the limits or downfalls in the society and its mechanical nature when versus virus attacks or how plan organics could keep up with or outdo them at some tasks.

I mean WH is in much the same boat, but the conflicts, fanatical nature and just the politics of it, or rather the lack of them that I enjoy about WH40k.  So I'm hardly against your game, and if I played it, it will be to play it for what it is. Not make demands of it to change. The Fact its dark also doesn't matter to me. I like the Alien Films, I don't remember any of those ending on a happy note. But in that reguard I feel Dark games are becoming what Slow Motion did after the Matrix.  The fact it uses PnP system doesn't bother me while pretty simple I liked playing KoToR and Jade Empire. Which used PnP.

I don't. She looks depressing, chest is too small, eyes are shrunken in, too big of a nose bridge, I could go on and on, but shes not attrative in the least to me. Honestly I seen a girl that looked like that I'ld suspect she was a thief or up to no good.

I used to own this very book.

Can't recall whether this came after Shadowrun or before, but I recall playing both of them.

I know what you mean, as my laptop runs recent games like DXHR, Arkham City, Skyrim, ME3, etc., at 1080p resolution, often at max settings or mostly maxed except AA. However Witcher 2 lags horribly, even at the lowest possible settings.

Perhaps it's because Witcher 2 was a DX9 game, so it cannot benefit from DX11 optimizations?

Those are like all of the conflicts in GITS lol. It's a politically heavy piece of fiction and wouldn't be much without those political elements.

I mean WH is in much the same boat, but the conflicts, fanatical nature and just the politics of it, or rather the lack of them that I enjoy about WH40k.  So I'm hardly against your game, and if I played it, it will be to play it for what it is. What I meant was the people who should keep their eye on this are the people who are real fans of the genre. It's a big section of counter culture and if you're not a fan of that then I doubt this game would have anything for you. I disagree, there's not enough serious content in games, and it's merely kid's games masquerading as "adult" content.

I don't. She looks depressing, chest is too small, eyes are shrunken in, too big of a nose bridge, I could go on and on, but shes not attrative in the least to me. Honestly I seen a girl that looked like that I'ld suspect she was a thief or up to no good.

First, that's just one persons imagining of what she looks like. She's a character from a series of novels and has only one piece of "original" art work, the rest are from fans. Second she wasn't written to be sexy so the size of her chest isn't something Gibson concerned himself with. Thirdly she's a killer/mercenary depending on the situation not a thief. Every protagonist in Cyberpunk fiction is either a "criminal," becomes one or works outside the framework of accepted behavior. So that's something you would expect from this game. Fourthly, you've got bad taste in women.

I've got that very same book in my hands right now. *blows dust off it*

I think that particular book (2nd edition rules) came out after Shadowrun, but the first edition came out before.

It's an hp envy 15, a bit outdated as I bought it back in 2009, but Witcher 2 is the only game that doesn't run well. Haven't played it again since the update, however, so I'm hoping there are some optimization improvements.

There are a lot of laptops under $1000 these days that can deliver decent frame rates for most recent games at 1080p.

What about oldie but goodie ME1?  I got that for my brother several years ago.  He only has a laptop.  It no worky.  Wondered about non-expensive laptops that COULD play ME1 and 2 (though not 3, who wants to play 3?).

Yes, the frame rate was much higher for ME1 and ME2, well over 60fps IIRC.  ME1 and ME2 are not very demanding games.

Out of the three games, however, personally I enjoyed ME3 the most.

I wonder if there will be romance... It would probably mean less drama, if there weren't.

Although I would be really interested in how they would handle gay romance. Somehow that seems unlikely to happen.
