Is anyone else surprised that this trailer has gotten 500,000 views in under a day? How the hell did it get there so fast?

Never underestimate the power of sexy cyborg chicks :) Especially when it is rendered in such an excellent way.
I mean, DAT NOSE ...

Also there are good'ol Cyberpunk fans, thirsty like mad for this game. Most of my old PnP gang watched this video even they are not into computer/console games.

Honestly if they are announcing a another game in Feb I hope it is a completely new game rather than Witcher 3. Before people come down to hate on me please.

I merely say this because making a new IP would give CDPR a lot more freedom when creating the game, when bound to an existing IP they are bound to the mechanics that someone else has set down (well most of the time they are) but if they got the chance to create there own universe with there own characters and conflict I bet they could pull off some amazing things.  I bet fans would love it even more since they would be venturing into something completely new with no backstory or lore from another medium so they could just experience it all first during the game.

CDPR has a lot of amazingly talented people on staff and I bet they could really blow people away if they got the chance to create something completely like this.

Heh, thought I was alone in admiring her nose.

@Wolsite, maybe you're right, but the path they've taken is adapting well established IP's, and it's confirmed the next announcement is TW3. I just hope they have enough staff on board to do both games justice.

LOL, i've been admiring her nose aswell. It's amazing how much a little physical quirk can give her so much character.

I feel like i know her personality, her disposition, her birthday, her birth place, her favourite colour, her level of education, her favourite midnight snack; all from that little hump on her nose.

Impressive trailer.

But to be honest, I'm more interested in the--supposedly--The Witcher 3 announcement that will be in February, rather than Cyberpunk.

People are keeping an eye on CD Project Red simply because they are one of the last "Good" companies left in the business.

Well I am curious that they're referring to it as an "open world" game.

Me too, but I'm still intrigued by cyberpunk. If they announce fixer or corporate being possible classes, my excitment would multiply.

This game seems like something I want to get. So will it have modding support?

This game seems like something I don't want to get. Those pictures in previous pages ruined my little interest.

The Witcher 2 is getting mod tools this year actually.  I think its safe to assume Cyberpunk would get it eventually but what do I know?

I hope so, but then again I think I'm still going to buy it anyway.

If done well this could be a good game, my only fear as of now is that that story sounds, what's the word, generic.

And I don't mean generic as in "oh that's just tropes and archetypes, you can't avoid those", I mean, "This is a prime example of the average 90's sci-fi comic story" type generic.

I really hope they handle it well and that their different classes and innevitably different storylines from various factions points of view offer a complex look at the world, mainly showing that no side is right or wrong, but doing what it feels is for the best. So that rebels aren;t automatically good, and coorporations aren't stupid evil, and every side has reedeming and detracting qualities that makes it hard to choose whose really the ones you want to stand with.

Making there be incentives to joining the various sides outside of material gain would be good to, so it's not just picking between hitler, stalin, and po pot when it comes to the factions. Because a rpg is bound to have them.

But I prattled on enough, this games cinematic trailer reminds me of dreed, and that is a very good thing.

I didn't know CDPR's story for the game had already been leaked.

And you should really play the Witcher games. When you do, you'll realize that CDPR doesn't do binary morality.

Distopian futrure where private corporations rule. Martial law established everywhere. Human cypernetics being widespread. Space Naz.i-eaque police uniforms. It's looking like the 90's all over again to me, which could be really good, or really, really, bad.

I played witcher 2 since that's the only console game there was. I was not impressed, and even pissed enough to get a refund, because of their shoddy programing and gameplay.

Don't think anything has been leaked. They are still actively recruiting a development team and its such an early stage any major leaks (if there are any) will be altered. It is part of a series so you can assume direction.

Good news. Sebastian Stepian, lead writer for TW2 is also lead writer for CP 2077. Bit of a relief for me.

That is good news.

Writing team I don't doubt will be solid, but I'll wait to see whose actually programing the combat and gameplay sections for this game. This is their first real treading into the shooting genre, and thus a very different beast to contend with than in their previous works. They need someone who can bring good mechanics into this game and not make combat a secondary focus alone, or it will fail and be a horrible trudge to get through. If they pick someone without a lot of experience in programing for shooting mechanics and gun physics and enemy AI along with environmental exploitation, than it won't really matter how good their story is, because every part of the game that doesn't involve a cutscene will be too much work and pain for most people to suffer through.

Though I'm looking forward to the slow motion pause GUI that they will probably apply to the game when it comes to selecting weapons and tools and switching them in combat.

Meh it's too early for me to feel excited. This does look interesting, however, I hope it's not overly ‘gritty'.
