New article on the making of the teaser trailer

www.behance.net/gallery/Cyberpunk-2077/6573211

I always love seeing the process of how these things are made.  Also, I personally prefer the Adam Jenson style arm blades (and arms, I like when cybernetics are not completely discrete) that they seemed to be considering compared to the one they finally used, but thats just preference.  Both look very cool.

Hooking up with Platige Image is one of the smartest moves CDPR has made. I also like that no matter the promotional material, it always goes through their design team so that what you see is representative of the final product.

-I like the design concept for the Max-tac guy better than in the teaser. I do find it odd he has that huge bag hanging off his thigh.

-Love the concept art for the city.

-That model is gorgeous.

I guess CSI: Miami just got... punk'd.
YEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAH!

Well, maybe that's a stretch, but some of those guys do seem oddly familiar.

The guy, which is a director for the teaser, was also doing work for CDP:R on Witcher CGIs. The guy created in 2002 "The Cathedral", which in 2002 won the first prize at SIGGRAPH, the biggest festival of
animation and special effects, and a year later was nominated for an
Oscar for the best animated short film.

Below is the 2002 animation... compare to what you were seeing in 2002 in games and trailers ;)

It all shows the high quality pursuit in what CDP:R is doing. The quality is not only aesthetics but more important what story they can tell with this high quality aesthetics... Many developers should learn from them... Otherwise in 2-5 years they will be overshadowed if TW3 and Cyberpunk 2077 will become major hits.

A word or two about recruiting.

When you get caught (as "not killed on the spot") you have very few options. Most common is chirurgical "deaugumentation" to the point where you can grasp what is to be human, then you are plugged to braindance as a sentence - a new penitentiary system - a year or two (or more) of braindance adjusting and youre out.

Or take new occupation as one of the max-tac team. If there is enough hardware left in you to warrant such offer. And if the psychological profile says one can.

Braindance can be a lot of things, for example implementing a disgust towards guns and violence. Next time you see a gun you will feel uneasy... taking it to you hand can cause nausea or pain even... all thanks to subconscious reprogramming by BD.

So like alex in a clockwork orange and classical music.

NeoGAF. Here's the artist's site. He did the city renders for the teaser, and he simply sates that other image is from a current project. Amazing talent.

A fun little article on things to do between now and when Cyberpunk releases in 2015/whenever it releases.

Stumbled upon an English interview about Cyberpunk 2077.  Part about the game starts around 17 min 40 sec mark.

I'm glad they didn't indulge either the stupid criticisms of the trailer being sexist or America's current obsession with game violence. Bravo.

This one doesn´t go into any detail, besides RPS apparent obsession of invoking sexism whenever there´s a bit of skin shown.

I would say there is more obsession on disarming the population.

I´d say some people are obsessed looking for excuses for NOT disarming the population. Easy access to ARs?

I've never read an article from RPS till this one, but it did seem like they were really trying to dig for something to call out the developers on.

Cautiously optimistic. I am a big fan of Neuromancer. I have read it four times. Love the literary genre and the aesthetic, although most cyberpunk movies have been a letdown. I've thought a cyberpunk RPG would be a great idea for many years, particularly one where players could freely roam in a glitzy yet also seedy dystopian crapsack city.

The main reason for my caution is that I own both Witchers and yet have not gotten far into either because they really haven't grabbed me. Yes I realize that some people might consider my statement blasphemous, but CD Projekt Red have yet to prove themselves to be one of those companies whose titles I await with great anticipation and whose games I absolutely must own I bought the Witchers on the recommendation of a good friend. Maybe Cyberpunk 2077 will be the one that wins me over.

And here is Mr Pondsmith.

“I played the original Deus Ex and enjoyed it a lot. Warren Spector is amaster at layering complex plots and inferences. But Deus Ex always felt more like a conspiracy game than a cyberpunk game to me. Mirror’s Edge is great, but too clean. System Shock and Oni [from Bungie] are also good. Perfect Dark. Ghost in the Shell. Matrix. And Grand Theft
Auto 3 is basically cyberpunk minus the hardware.”

Interesting quote.  Gives a bit of an idea of what they are going for.
