Anyway, why would you want to nerf something in a co-op game? It's not like the gun's damage puts you in a disadvantage during a fight.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I don't get why people want things nerfed in co-op when it benefits everyone.....

Do you really want to play a game where everyone is playing with the same gun? Can you imagine if everytime you enterd a room you saw everyone on the same class with the same gun? EVEN BETTER can you imagine someone going into a room without the class/gun and getting kicked all the time because they don't have it?Cdr. Pwn wrote...

EVERY 5 y.o. who gets his hands on this weapon will abuse it. THIS GUN IS REDICULOUSLY POWERFULL. I understand the hate, welcomed it before I posted topic. But this gun needs balancing. Perhaps I should have put balance instead of nerf.

- Difficult headshotting, if maxed out for the headshots this is a big letdown and damage decrease.
- Bullet speed, it's slow and thus you occasionally have to aim ahead of target, the aoe picks up some of this lack of speed but again for full damage you want a direct hit. Guess it's worst when you joined a game instead of hosting.
- Firing speed is slow, at least if your used to the Valiant. (Not sure how it compares to Black Widow, don't have one of those)
- The ammo clip is pathetically small, I had to run to a ammo station several times during a wave, which can be very annoying if your hunkered down.
- and at lvl 1 the damage is not great at all, two direct hits on a Geth to bring it down?
As a sniper I still prefer the Valiant tenfold over this.

Misread the patch summary, and thought I noticed no weak spots on Atlases on the one Cerberus match I got in today with my Vorcha.
I'll test again later tonight.

Incorrect. They only got rid of the cockpit weakspot. The other weakspots where armor plating can be shot off are still there (groin, shoulders, knees)

I've been playing it for a few hours and there are many pros to outweigh the relatively few cons with this sniper. It's basically a grenade launcher with a sniper scope attached to it and with an infiltrator the damage bonuses from cloak/sniper is going to make this the go-to weapon for a lot of people pretty soon me thinks. I don't think it necessairly needs a "nerf" but definitely making it more balanced would help in future updates.

This guy (and the other people who mentioned it before) have it right. The cockpit weakspot was removed because it wasn't a deliberate weakspot, the others are meant to be there.mpompeo27 wrote...

That is an example of a game in which the devs listened to all the cries to nerf this and that. Do you know how quickly that game died? BF3 has the shortest lifespan of any game I know. Why? All the kiddies screamed "NERF!", the devs obliged, and now we are all shooting each other with bright orange darts in BF3.
No thank you, I don't want to use toy guns against enemies. Let the cool weapons be useful instead of an interesting toy. I don't want to get that rifle and say to myself "Cool, explosive sniper with rangefinding scope. Too bad it is bloody useless" That is what I say when I see the Kishock, shoots harpoons but is bloody FUBAR.
Don't cry for nerfs, most of the people playing online are infiltrators anyway. Nerfing the new rifle will not change that.
