range is somewhat lacking, but i think it could be fine with a good DR during animation, just like batarian heavy melee.

no hate for the range, i just figured out its slow animation plus clipping capability makes it a great asset against all factions, u arent supposed to use it on CQC, no in open areas. just get advantage of the clipping capability and kill armored foes before they turn the corner. im loving phoenix characters lately

smash is great, but fine as it is in my opinion.

Why? Lash is an amazing power for dragging the enemy into smash range, and it recharges very quickly too.

I actually haven't used the class in a long while but if I recall correctly, lash tended to bring things into range and send them right back out of it.

I think the ability is quite creative. There is a huge payoff but it is hard to use. It requires good judgement as well as technical skill (melee/roll cancelling). If they do add DR or change the casting time, I would expect a nerf of the damage as well. In fact I think the armor damage might be a little bit high.

Haven't tried it yet. Don't worry, even though my smash range sig is really cool looking, I will be swapping it for an unnerf-the-Geth-engineer sig once I make it.

The buff has greatly improved the playability of the Phoenix characters (don't get me wrong I loved playing them before). I was hoping for a nice round 10m instead of 8m but I am very glad to see the modification nonetheless. Thanks BioWare!

It was fine before, but it is ludicrious now. I think it is too strong, since you can just spam it and clear out everything, but I'll keep my mouth shut because it is so much fun.
