A naked man in Miami savagely attacked a homeless man, whereupon he then proceeded to tear at the homeless man's face and eat the flesh.

When police responded to the scene and told the man to cease his cannibalistic act, the man snarled back at the police officer and continued eating the poor homeless man*.

The police blame LSD for it, but the truth is clear: The Zombie Apocalypse is upon us. Prepare yourselves.

*It should go without saying, but I do want to make it clear that I feel bad for the guy and if he's still alive -- I think he's still alive -- I hope he gets better. I hope he can forget that traumatizing encounter and hopefully find some way to get facial reconstruction.

The latter seems unlikely though. And if he can't, chances are he won't be able to forget.

I read that guy was jacked up on hallucinogens big time - probably thought he was a lion and the man he attacked was a gazelle or something.

That's the official story they're telling, but the real story is that he's secretly a puppet of scientific experimenting that resulted in a mindless zombie. He was meant to be a supersoldier, but escaped from the labs and attacked citizens. Do not think otherwise.

If the homeless man turns, we'll know for certain.

Oh, I'm also glad the cop shot his ass - there was some nutcase up in Canada a few years ago who savagely stabbed and butchered the guy sitting next to him on a Greyhound bus, then ate his eyes and heart. The police not only didn't try to shoot or otherwise subdue him, they f***ing negotiated with him while he was prancing around the bus with kid's head in his hand.

Worst of all, he didn't even get sentenced to execution, or even prison - he was confined to a mental facility for a few years, and now he actually has a right to leave the property and go out in public under "supervision."

Should've put a bullet in that guy's head on the spot, if you ask me - good thing the officer in Florida was willing to do what was necessary.

Really? Wow... that's asenine and irresponsible. The guy was insane certainly, but to actually allow him to go back outside?

The fact that there's actually some people calling it police brutality for shooting him just because he was unarmed makes me think they have a political agenda.  Any time you're in the process of an attempted murder, you give up all your rights.  It even seems that the police officer warned him to step away before shooting.

on May 16, a mysterious rash at a school . . Hazmat called, no official statement as to the cause.

On May 18, "unknown chemical" at an airport - 5 people to the hospital, again Hazmat, again no official explanation.

May 20, a man - doctor, even - spit blood at a cop.

May 22, another mysterious rash at another school.  Again Hazmat, again no official explanation.

May 24, man who just landed in Miami tries to rush plane's cockpit.

And then this.  All in Florida.  All in one week.

I understand. And I've seen what she looked like afterwards. But this guy is being equated to being zombielike in jokes and serious news bits. The attacker really did act like a zombie in more then just the cannibalistic fashion and people did get that vibe.

I do feel bad for the man that lost his face, jokes aside. I really do. I hope he can get reconstructive surgery and put it behind him eventually.

I am concerned about what TJPags posted. Part of me is worrying that Florida is in fact experiencing something that will not be good for the state.

It does seem to be reminiscent of Resident Evil.

True.  And yes, I feel very bad for the guy.  He has years of pain in his future, all because of some lunatic.

However . . . it is quite shocking, and while this may make me a bad person, I literally could not read this story without thinking "Oh crap, it's a zombie".  Combined with those other stories I linked - which I assume are accurate (can't vouch for the veracity of Gawker) - it's really like something out of Resident Evil here.
