I have this same issue. Joining a friend's game does not work around this issue for me.
I've done several of the suggestions given to me by EA support such as update several times, reinstall more than once origin, origin beta, and ME3. I've made repair attempts to ME3 and each individual DLC. I followed EA support suggestions: cleaning my temp folders, follow their internet protocol configuration steps, and clear out my browser cache.
