Having the same issue. Installed rebellion dlc and 1.03 patch yesterday, everything worked fine. Today I keep getting the "lost connection..." error msg when clicking multiplayer in the main menu.
Same problem here
I hope i didn't loose my gear (if it actually works again)?
Is there any official info about this somewhere?

As well as this one... =|

Are the servers down or something?
Edit: I found the connection lost issue is happening even without the Rebellion DLC, I then downloaded the DLC and it still won't connect to multiplayer.

Oddly, when I originally updated with the patch, and downloaded the DLC, I was able to log in, and start my own lobby. However, several hours later, after going to and returning from work, my game would stall out and disconnect on the Multiplayer loading screen every time I tried to log on.

Goto main mass effect load screen instead of going into multiplayer. Press shift f1 and sellect friend and say join.

I tried that too, you can get inside the multiplayer section but then you can't join his game because my dlc somehow won't load.Hardehare wrote...
Try this little trick... I have been able to get to multiplayer section and store with it but not play yet.
Goto main mass effect load screen instead of going into multiplayer. Press shift f1 and sellect friend and say join.
What a mess.

Well, at least he told you that, but I have yet to see a statement in the forums from anyone at BW regarding this particular problem (I've only seen posts about the IGO32 launch or the DLC auth stuff). 19 hours of downtime now... really annoying. And it's pretty much the first time I complain about these downtimes I'm afraid we should be getting used to.
Cheers

Yeah I was surprised when I saw that some had this problem for quite some time and there was just this little thread.
But it is getting late here in good old Europe, I hope the problem is fixed tomorrow.
Good night to you my friends!
