Having the same issue. Installed rebellion dlc and 1.03 patch yesterday, everything worked fine. Today I keep getting the "lost connection..." error msg when clicking multiplayer in the main menu.

this is really pissing me off. I lost a LOT of good weapon, armor, ammo buffs ect. when I "lose connection". We should get some free packs to compensate.

Same problem here :(
I hope i didn't loose my gear (if it actually works again)?
Is there any official info about this somewhere?

My game just updated today with the new DLC and I have the same problem... (100% every time I try to play multiplayer, even tried restarting the game, and Origin.)

As well as this one... =|

Are the servers down or something?

Edit: I found the connection lost issue is happening even without the Rebellion DLC, I then downloaded the DLC and it still won't connect to multiplayer.

I had the same problem, last night. Could not log into Multiplayer, unless I went through Origin and joined game from my friends list.

Oddly, when I originally updated with the patch, and downloaded the DLC, I was able to log in, and start my own lobby. However, several hours later, after going to and returning from work, my game would stall out and disconnect on the Multiplayer loading screen every time I tried to log on.

Same here, it was working yesterday, and not today. This is definitely a Bioware server issue, and cant be local. :(

Try this little trick... I have been able to get to multiplayer section and store with it but not play yet.

Goto main mass effect load screen instead of going into multiplayer. Press shift f1 and sellect friend and say join.

I tried that too, you can get inside the multiplayer section but then you can't join his game because my dlc somehow won't load.

What a mess.

Same issue. Downloaded yesterday, played 1 game, quit, decided to give the MP another shot today and now I can't connect.

Same here. Downloaded yesterday, gave it a shot, gone to bed. Now, after a pretty rough day, I try to go and enjoy a few rounds, I say ****.

I tried a few things, but this was the last thing I tried before it started working:

command prompt
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns
netsh winsock reset
reboot

other things I tried: in Origin, make sure "keep origin up to date" is checked; right click on game & choose Check for Updates; delete %userprofile%\\documents\\BioWare\\Mass Effect 3\\BIOGame\\Config\\OnlineProfile.profile; delete OfflineCache from C:\\ProgramData\\Origin\\DownloadCache\\<email>

I cannot get to the mutliplayer lobby either, tried all the fixes mentioned:

-running origin and mass effect 3 executables as administrator
-running the mass effect 3 executable directly
-checking for update in origin
-repairing install
-flushing my dns and deleting the files ddemner mentioned

Same problem. The Galaxy at war screen is slow to load now, clicking multiplayer stalls out and gives the same error message everyone else is getting, then when it returns to main menu it's slow to connect to EA servers, and then hangs up extra long on the galaxy at war screen, again.

I tried the fixes mentioned in the thread and none of it works.

I have messaged Chris Priestly about this.
He says they are looking into it.

Well I got an interesting one... I downloaded the Rebellion DLC... played a few games... went into the store and got booted off of multiplayer... tried to reconnect and tells me that the Mass Effect 3 servers are down. It stayed down for a over a day so I implemented many "fixes" I see on the interwebz and eventually I got it to connect when I opened up the game... it IMMEDIATELY disconnects and any attempt to reconnect tells me that the servers are down.

Wasn't around to try the new dlc the day it came out, logged on today, downloaded the dlc and the patch suddenly getting this error everytime I try to connect. Tried everything in the thread as well as having spent hours online with EA support doing useless stuff like screwing with my router and temp files all to no avail. Pretty frustrating. Never had any issues playing since launch.

Well, at least he told you that, but I have yet to see a statement in the forums from anyone at BW regarding this particular problem (I've only seen posts about the IGO32 launch or the DLC auth stuff). 19 hours of downtime now... really annoying. And it's pretty much the first time I complain about these downtimes I'm afraid we should be getting used to.

Cheers

Yeah I was surprised when I saw that some had this problem for quite some time and there was just this little thread.

But it is getting late here in good old Europe, I hope the problem is fixed tomorrow.
Good night to you my friends!
