I'm experiencing the same issue when trying to connect to multiplayer. The DLC is properly installed (it says "You Own This" in the Downloadable Content menu in-game), and I have also made sure the game is up to date by checking for updates from the Origin menu.

I can't try the join a friend fix, because nobody on my Origin friends list plays Mass Effect 3 for PC.

Can we get some type of official acknowledgement from BioWare or EA that they're aware of the issue and working on a fix? I've seen official posts in the other threads about being unable to connect to multiplayer after the patch, but those issues and error messages seem to be different than this one.

Also, if the game is not patched in a timely manner, will any type of extension be issued for the Commendation Packs considering they expire?

Thank you for the help, KuroFye!  I'm going to restart the Origin client and see if I can join multiplayer on my own now.

Thanks for the solution but this is still a Bug Origin/EA needs to fix.

just do me a favor and blame EA D:<! we're having troubles since theyr last origin update, also, the servers are from EA D:<

well, so far arround 20 people get this fixed by joining a game and just 1 unlucky boy still cannot play.

i'll keep hosting for a while so if someone dont have friends to join it's still time to add me xd

Updated and was able to play last night. Now today ME fails to launch (not responding). Checking for updates Origin updates successfuly, and repair is also successful. Launching the game fails again. And so on...I tried waiting for 15 minutes and running from the exe but still no go. Will keep trying.

if you have both, mass effect and origin fully updated, try to join a game by a friend already playing

I went from bad to worse. I was having this issue, then after running a repair install as was suggested earlier in the thread, I now can't even connect to the Alliance network on the main screen, so none of my DLC is authorized anymore. >

Have been playing multiple matches since my last post and everything was fine, then suddenly my other team members randomly disconnect and moments later I get...

I had this crop up literally just as I finished a match-- I got awarded the credits but not the XP.

EDIT:

And now I can't get into MP at all nor authorise any of my DLC. =/

Guess I'll kill time with some Skyrim.

Well, I thought I had fixed this but by re-installing the patch via origin but today I got booted in wave 10 with the same damn message. I was brought back to the MP screen and was able to find a match again, but it was somewhere in Poland and they were speaking Polish and could not understand a damn thing!! Good players though....Then I get into a match and I am kicking ass and taking names and the power flickers on wave 11 before extraction. PC reboots. Not a good day for me. I digress, but clearly this problem has not been solved.

Glad to hear the join a friend has worked for many people. Very strange that something as simple as that fixes the problem...

If you mean that the game won't even launch after hitting play, then you probably have the problem of IGO32. Just go to your Origin installed folder, and look for a file called IGO32.dll, then rename it to something else like IGO32(BUGFIX).dll, should fix the non-responsive launch issue. Be sure you don't have ME3 running in the background from previous attempts (visible if you run a w32 program called taskmgr - the Task Manager).

Edit: Maybe not. I got beyond the multiplayer menu ONCE and onto my character loadout screen and then I got the same error message :/
