About 110% with the first capacity upgrade, at level 1. With the shotgun weight reduction, and a higher-level gun, much less of an issue.

Also, charge -> melee -> melt -> charge.

The
Carbine may be OP for some. But playing with the Krogan Battlemaster on
Gold is very difficult for some (like me) since my play style is CQC. 
And this is mainly what the KV is for. Silver maps are much easier to
play as this character. But for Gold is hard unless you have a weapon
that can take enemies ie Reapers down quickly. I find this the best
weapons for: Reapers on Gold for KV

Plus i see the balance is in it's shortage of ammo supply. evne with the lvl 5 spare ammo - it goes quickly.
And
also, it's disadvantage that you have to be close to Enemies (Reapers)
to take them down. Brutes and Banshees easily can Instant Kill .Ceberus
Phantoms Instant Kill

IMO that's where the balance lies in. It's Very Powerful but also Very Risky

but that's just my thoughts on it now. I'm still learning the ropes on Gold, but this is what I see with it

totally agree,
banshee arm range is enough to instantly kill u, phantom still can approach u easily while u shooting her
so this wepaon is nothing OP.
in gold u alwayas want to stay a distance with whatever enemies and close range weapon make this become limited use , just like melee in gold

and i am not 100% sure but i don't think ammo pierce /shredder work with it as it should be a projectle weapon .

I don't really know if the damage is where it should be, but I can see it being nerfed to uselessness from all the crying already. Considering the limited range, beyond which the gun does absolutely nothing, it really needs to be powerful close up. Again, I don't know if it should be quite as powerful, it does melt enemies ridiculously fast. But ammo is also a problem, both clip size to a lesser degree and spare ammo count.

I really hope this weapon doesn't get totally ruined. It's completely unique from all the other weapons and I'll embrace all the variety I can get in this game.

Shredder works. Goes through cover and melts Guardians. And really helps against armor.

ehh seriously with Human Inf on Gold + Cryo Blast i take off the entire shields and the half of an Atlas' armor by unloading one clip.there is a line between great weapon and easy mode.and yes i played the pre nerf Falcon.doesnt even compare to it.this is probably the most OP thing ive ever seen in any game, PvP or Coop.my teammates didnt even have a chance to kill an Atlas or Phantom.i took everything.

Yup, like I said in the OP, only 1.5 clips to kill an Atlas. And that's without rail amps, which I am unfortunately out of at the time. With the right consumables, I can see taking an Atlas down in one clip.

It's hard to use. You can't be too close, or you won't hit anything. The crosshair has to be on the target, or you don't hit anything either.

Half the time I spent simply waisting clips. Might be stupid on infiltrators. But then what isn't?

Whaaaa? You don't even have to aim with the thing :lol: Seriously it's the first weapon I got a KILLSTREAK with.

Range sucks and the ammunition pool has no water in it.

Apart from that, it pretty much turns you into a Geth Pyro with all of your others points there.

Though I doubt that 110% is fast enough... I usually get along with a CD of 180% on my Novaguard, but not lower. If that weapon is good enough to entirely replace Nova' s stagger with its electrical arc, then I am all game for that weapon. I could finally switch to a different race vanguard or even try Phoenixguard...

I said the gun was gonna be a quarian PoS, which it is imho. I also said it will be unshotgun, which it is. The fact that it is clearly broken makes it super boring to use, at least for me. So yea.

The ammo is not a problem since there is an ammo crate on every corner and maps are small. The range is not a problem either because nothing can withstand teh lazor for more than 2-3s.

New DLC. Zorah Carbine --> OHKO anything. Downside: must be within 0.5 meters of target, only holds enough ammo to kill 5 enemies (which can be remedied by consumables, mods, gear, or the infinite ammo on the map).

Sounds awful, huh?

i really doubt that it is Bioware's interest to make this game easy mode,dont you think?otherwise they wouldn't have nerfed te Falcon which was by no means as OP as the Reegar is.

It's good, but I'm not sure it should be nerfed.

- Low ammo really hurts, and this thing eats ammo fast.
- Very poor range.  Unlike the geth pyro, this thing has low range.  I was running through gunfire in gold to be able to use it (I had no other guns at the time).  Against instant kill enemies, this is a bad gun.
- Slow reload times prevents it from taking out entire rooms.
- It seems to work poorly against barriers.  I could not take down a full phantom with it, which was odd since I was taking out centurions without too much trouble.

It's great at extremely close range (the range just outside of melee), but that's a range that most players do not want to be at in gold.  It's fast ammo consumption, low ammo count, and slow reload makes it so if you do kill one enemy, others will get you.

Yes, the limited ammo threw me at first but you can learn ways around that.

Keep in mind that the reload is actually rather fast and if your going balls out on something like a Vanguard or Korgan you can actually reload cancel quite well by throwing in a charge or melee (heavy) in between discharges. Equipped right and most of the dangerous things even on gold melt like butter in Haestrom's sun. Buddy up with a Vorcha Pryo maniac and things really die fast. Find a good choke point with an ammo box and watch as things turn to charred crisps or ionized ash.

It's not an Ultra-Rare. It just rare. GOLD card. I maxed it out right after the DLC got released. Cleared Glacier now on Gold with the same Male QI and Reegar X in 31 minutes, just because I had 2 difficult hacks and bring the package to LZ objectives. Didn't even use shotgun rail amp, just ammo bonuses.

I finally played more with this gun yay!

BTT - I tried with Asari VG for a couple rounds. Its a good gun with VG, although because of AV's ability stats, I carried GPsmg to compensate for range fights (Hacking objectives, or if the fight zone is too hot for charging).

This thing simply chews through shields. Phantoms melt to this gun, Banshee shield drops so fast, but I leave Banshees for my other teammates' heavier firepower for the Armor Bar. Didn't have enough Geth games tonight.

Didn't have Shredder mod on, but I'm considering dropping EB for it, while sporting Spare Ammo mod. I'm more of a gunplay player.

This gun is really strong, but I'm downed by the fact that ammo count is low. I suppose that's for balancing reason.

Not everyone will like the Reegar Carbine due to it requiring you to be in their faces, and a generally poor ammo supply. I frequently had to drop by an ammo crate on silver, and ran out of ammo on the later objective waves. Then I got the extra ammo mod and it was k.

I think used well it should have enough ammo to fulfill your purposes, just get used to timing your bursts to kill what you're aiming at and avoid overkill.

To me the most impressive ability of this weapon is its ability to hose down Geth Hunters. Extraction on Silver with three Geth Hunters rushing in and causing great fear in my team until I walked up with Reegar, emptied a heat sink, and all three melted. I repeated this twice after for confirmation of effectiveness.

Not as good against armor, but usable. Biggest trouble there is that you're at close range and it has one of the longer reload times.

It does do horrific amounts of damage though.
