The text color button on the toolbar in the post editor standard form thing has no effect. Switch to BBCode and you can see nothing gets inserted.

So have I but I think they are entering the BBCode manually to do it. I tried that too but it didn't work for me so I guess I got the syntax wrong... font color:rgb( #,#,# ) doesn't do it.

Would be much easier if the button just worked :)

Has it been broken since I used it last?

Let's see:  Color this Red.  Works fine for me!

P. S. AFAIK, there is no color text code to use in PMs.

Obviously, you keep doing something wrong, then. It's been working for me just the way I expected it to, since the social site's software was first Beta'd.

Maybe it's another IE8 issue because it doen's work for me either.

Blue
Red
Green

It changes the color while in the Editor, but not when I submit

EDIT

Think I figured it out. You need to enter the BBC, then submit without switching back.
As soon as you switch out of BBC, it whips the formating.

This is red

I'm not using anything other than the "T" and choosing a color from the chart.

Blue Color Here.

It looks better bolded at the same time.

Green Color this time.

Next

How about Pink?

I think that might actually be "Magenta".

When I wrote last, I was in the bedroom, having a middle of the night wakeful half an hour, so it was Firefox 3.0, while in here, it's Firefox 3.5, but I think it is equally workable for me in Sea Monkey 2.0 (I have never used IE for anything other than visiting MS's Windows Update pages). I was using Mosaic before it disappeared (bought by Microsoft, maybe), and changed to Netscape.

When AOL bought that one, I changed to Mozilla, and technically speaking, have not really left since (both Firefox and Sea Monkey derive from Mozilla).

Sorry to revive this thread. I have the same issues with the colored text. When i submit the post all color format turns to be the standard color.

[font color:0,128,255] a text [/font]

this is bold

Can someone tell me the correct html syntax to color the text manually?
