I'm at n7 1100+ and I just played 3 games where the next highest n7 was no higher than 400 and the lowest was 23 on silver and gold

OP do you play on PC? The patch is only live on PC right now.

This had better not be true. I like playing with Rooks and training them.

Playing with people closer to my level gets boring because we burn through the match so fast.

I'm on PC and seeing it on the PC, though had one that had N levels more than 100 points off, but they were all pretty high-ish N. Haven't seen a low N all night.

I still like how the OP attacked Bioware without proof of them even doing anything.

PC here

last match of the night, the same happened again, only one person had a N7 of 400 the rest had 640-660 (that close really)

PS: the OP needs to tone it down a bit, but the coincidences should cause some concern...

Ugh God I hope this isn't true.

I'm on Xbox so I'm still getting grouped with everyone (lately high-level players since I finally downloaded the DLCs and have been trying out the new maps). I'm usually the lowest at N7 59 (I think the highest was N7 1.2k). I like playing with higher-leveled players because there's less of a chance that someone's going to pull a Leeroy Jenkins stunt and go running face-first into a banshee or brute. I also occasionally need someone good enough to pull my idiot arse out of the fire and players on my level just don't seem to cut it most of the time. >.> We're sort of a mess of "OH GOD WHAT AM I DOING?!" Low-level players need someone of a higher rank to keep them in line.

Yeah, I admit I might have been a little too upset by the time of writing and ir may have passed off as a well written rant, which wasn't my intention, although at the same time this has caught attention quickly.

For the record; apparently its mostly seen in PC (Since the patch didn't seem to be out by the time of posting the first part). I'm mostly working off the fact that this matchmaking behaviour sprung up just after patch + DLC. Still "coincidental" for the time being, but this is why I'd like to hear everyone's experience (which is amounting to evidence).

Though the attack term is a little strong, I could modify the OP post to accomodate if its easier on everyone else.

That's all for tonight, work tomorrow.

Thank you for feedback everyone.

I'm around 400 and have been playing with people in the 1000s all day. I attributed it to people coming back for the DLC. It has been nice to play with talented folks again. Last weekend was rough. Lot of newcomers. Nothing wrong with it, but a N7 10 needs to hang out in Bronze for a bit. I know a lot of people who took their time beating the game and are now wanting to know what this multiplayer thing is. I helped a buddy out on L1 Bronze the other day. Ultimately, more players the better.

But back on topic, I hope they don't group by number. If you're above, say 120, you probably know how to play the game at varying degrees of aptitude. I've seen some 1000ers that are pretty mediocre. And I've seen guys in the 100s who dominate.

So it's come to my attention, after reading for a few seconds, that you're suffering from delusion and probably should lay down for a little while.

I would like nothing more than for that to be true :( It seriously sucks finding lobbies today, hope it's just connectivity issues and not a conscious choice made by someone for it to be this way.

If the system does suddenly have a preference to group close N7 levels together, there doesn't seem to be a set rule on the maximum difference. But it seems to "wait" longer, as if it wants to find a closer N7 level rather than sticking you with the fastest available lobby.

I went through a bunch more bronze lobbies, the system seemed to find games quicker if there were people around my level already in it. Got in a lobby with 3 N7 <50 people after ~6 minutes searching. So the game will put me in lobbies without close N7 levels, but is it because nothing else is available or what? Why's it gotta take so long? Even though it was bronze, it was strange to see all three of them with close N7 levels. Even bronze is usually pretty varied N7-wise, from what I remember.

Then I sat in a new bronze lobby with 2 other N7~200s FOREVER and never got a fourth player. Left to search again.

Went looking for another bronze match, and it quickly put me in FBWGG, of course with two other N7~200 people :crying: and then like the bronze match I mentioned before, it took a while. A fourth N7~200 player joined up eventually.

I don't think they can really do it, I mean how many people have crazy high n7 ranks? What if they are not online What about the odd numbers?

As far as I know, consoles didn't get the patch. If the supposed issue is related to the patch, console players won't experience it until Thursday or whenever the patch rolls out to them.

Lucky <_<

Wonder if it's just another connectivity issue affecting only a portion of the community :/ or maybe some of us have really crappy luck.

I haven't seen this in matchmaking today, but for some reason every game has somebody leave like halfway through it and usually after we've done an objective wave...people are stupid

They actually change something. Now if I waiting too long, then PC creates own game without my permission. It is terrible with my phone connection. I definitely dislike this changes. They must return all as was early.

Client or server patch though?

Im on PS3, and it seemed a little slower joining games last night, and I did seem to get people around my N7 level a little more.  There were N7 40-60, and one or two N7 1000+, but far more my level.

I put slower lobbies on fewer players (Ghost Recon is being played a lot by people on my friends list), and N7 distribution could just be an oddity.  Getting in a lobby with three people my level has never happened before, that I recall.

First game I joined we were all around 260, I thought it was a coincidence.

Just now I joined another game and we are 270, 266, 267, 247.

Seems like match making to me.

Does that explain why yesterday I left and rejoined THE SAME RANDOM LOBBY 3 TIMES IN A ROW?
