After 2 months of waiting and hoping for a fix (which seemed promising about this new patch), I am still having this issue. Multiple uses of Live Chat have been unhelpful, and emailing the ME Account Admin support has also yielded no results.
Anyone have any other suggestions? I'm so desperate to play again

Just had this issue fixed at last! A very helpful representative named Yogesh advised me to use the 'Redeem Product Code' option within the Origin client to re-enter my product code, and it worked like a charm! Hope this helps anyone else stuck with this issue.
