I can't load my game now unless I am logged on to xbox live.  Why is this?  I don't always have access to my wifes laptop and thats how I get on.  Is there a way to download the ring to my storage device or hard drive on Xbox?

Ah, I have a feeling I know what you're refering too.. I happen to have that same problem with some of my own saved games sadly.. I downloaded both the Feral Wolf charm and the Ring that came from the Pre-ordering arrangement, and when I went to install the former the latter also installed itself. Now I can't log into any of the save games that I touched after logging into XboxLive without hooking my console back up again because it doesn't recognize the second download as being valid otherwise. (Which is aggravating since it means I have to drag a small portable television all the way down a flight of stairs so I can play next to my computer - which in turn is probably in the WORST place in the house to place said tv...)

My best advice? Find a save from BEFORE you installed the faulty item and use that - and from now on do not save any game while you are logged into the servers. That's what worked for me. Cost me HOURS of work in the process, but it's better than not being able to play some of my saves at all.

Yeah, I have the same issue. It isn't a really big deal for me, because the console is usually plugged in to the Net anyway, but if it ISN'T connected, I can't load any game that has the Memory Ring or the Band of Fire.

I just read a post...if you do it right the ring should show up under DLC in the main menu, then you download it and save it the harddrive of the Xbox. Mine never showed up under that menu just in my inventory. I may need to try again.
