I recently created a bow based rogue, but before I had a duel-weild warrior.
On the warrior I had Haste, and Momentum on, the attack speed was fast, but when I activated Blood Thirst too, the attack speed slowed down a lot. So I thought maybe I just busted a set attack speed cap, but it got worse on my archer rogue.
On my rogue I had Haste and Rapid Shot activate, it was fine, but not fast. So leveled Shale and set the Rock Mastery talents, and my rogues attack speed slowed done to almost a minute for a shot, so I turned off Haste, and the attack speed stayed the same, so I turned off Rapid Shot, and it was exactly the same. It only changed when I took Shale out of the party.
What is the point of Shale's Rock Mastery giving a bonus to range attack speed if it makes the attack speed one attack a minute just by itself? How do I fix this? I haven't read about anyone else having this issue, is it just my game?
What should I do? Seeing as though this glitch makes any talent that increases attack speed useless, and it's on multiple characters.
Thanks in advance.

Rock Mastery increases range crit chance and range attack speed for everyone, and then the talents after Rock Mastery increase the effect, and in that lies the problem because once your attack speed goes passed a certain point it goes negative. So with Rock Mastery by itself, with no other attack speed talents, increases the range attack speed to the effect of slowing it down, and it is the same even with other attack speed talents.

go HIIIGH in dexterity. Usually it's characters like lelianna who this is useful for, because the bonus "Inspired Dexterity" gives mind-blowing stats. (I think dexterity is what adds to speed again, I've been busy with ME lately so I haven't played DA in a while
)
But either way, I just poured all my points on Zevran and Leliana into dexterity, and they blew through enemies like they were nothing. The dodge bonus from the dexterity would make them untouchable, and the piercing damage from dexterity would give me easily crits over 100 for each attack.
Playing through with them has convinced me that the game is actually much, much, much easier with a healer and 3 rogues. Nothing can ever touch the rogues, and when it does, Wynne just throws on a healing ward and they're good to go because they never get hit more than once in a row.
