You are only half right. Petrovsky puts the lives of his troops first and the Illusibe Man knows this and uses it to his own advantage. That means he's loyal to humanity, the ideal of Cerberus and not the Illusive Man and thus he'd be against the implantations and the indoctrination methods.
Which again, makes him terrible to lead Omega.
Aria is only loyal to Aria. She rules her people through absolute fear. She does things like sending them into a plague zone to shoot survivors before they can escape, and keeping past rivals alive as living trophies. Neither are very honorable things to do, but actions like these are necessary to preserve the first rule of Omega. And people fear Petrovsky not because of Petrovsky, but because of his benefactor. Note that Aria does not even mention him in Purgatory.
Besides which, Petrovsky is an EU character that most ME players would not even know from a hole in the ground. Making him a major player on Aria's level in the game would come out of left field for many who have not read Invasion.
And finally, even if he were to take control - what would stop Aria from simply waiting until he died or became elderly, and moving back in? She's not even a Matriarch yet, I believe.

Maybe Aria will not be a squad member, why ?
I heard rumors in Poland forums, that the adding new squad members in the DLC, is more difficult than ME2.
Well... Maybe Aria will be a main antagonist in the DLC ?

Had we ever met the Dalatross before ME3 and yet she offered a different solution to the genophage.
A bullet in the brain would i'm pretty sure still kill Aria as i doubt she would be supportive of Shep siding with Petrovsky.

This is all contingent on them actually making ME4 of course...

Why a squadmate? Why not simply play the Omega portion AS Aria?
No, definitely wouldn't buy if that is the case.
I'm so against it i would post the Sten 'No' picture if i had it to hand.

Because I'm Shepard (so to speak) and not Aria?...
Playing as Joker for a couple of minutes was fine. But a full mission, especially as big as they would have to make Omega? No way.

I had (apparently wrongly) assumed that this was going to be a "given". I don't see how we can retake Omega without fighting side-by-side with Trinity. I think that it would be a disservice to the character and to players.
I mean Aria.
We can be two different teams and communicate via omni-tool, like we did with Bailey.

ReTake OmeGa DLC has the potential to be LotSB 2.0.
WHY? Why does everyone care so much about Aria and Omege? Don't mean to call you out but why? I hate Aria and would gladly park a bullet in her arrogant puffed-up little forehead. And as for Omega, as Miranda so aptly put it, what a pisshole. Who cares about taking it back? Anyone worth saving was likely killed by Cerberus.

Hehe...my thoughts exactly. Never cared for Omega, never cared for Aria, the galaxy is better off without both. I'd rather have a real "Retake Earth" Mission...

Have to agree with this. Still can't understand why so many people are so spaztic about Aria, she isn't anything special or interesting. Omega is a craphole, let Cerberus have it or better yet just nuke Omega and take care of two problems at once.

What class would she be? Vanguard?
Probably Adept.....that's what the comics depict her as.
And I'm all for her as a temporary....hell even permanent squad member.

Well, I'd say they like her blue butt, but then you hardly ever see it, because all she really does is sit on it
Or they just want to see if "breaking Arias only law" might be possible after all...*cough*...where is an airlock when you need one
