Saying:
"Luke's father revealed! what?!" Would be just fine.
Thanks everyone.
Oh man, so much for watching Empire Strikes Back for the first time tonight! THANKS!
BTW, Bruce Willis is dead through the whole movie. And that chick is actually a dude. And Halley Joel Osmet dies.

The titles of the threads being broadcast is fairly common in forums these days, and it is not too much to ask to keep the titles free of spoilers (even if it is non-standard according to some).

I.E., not pull threads from the spoiler forums for rebroadcast? It seems like that would be a pretty useful fix, and allow users to be as specific as possible in their thread titles.

It hasn't even occurred to you that I might have a point has it? If it has it's certainly not evidenced by the prevalence of ad hominem attacks in your posts. I'm stupid, I'm a troll, I'm a stupid troll venting nerdrage? Do you have an actual point other than that you don't respect me? Post like yours are far more damaging to the forums than spoilers in post titles on a spoilers board. What are you trying to foster here other than mutual contempt? Certainly not communication.
I never called you stupid, although now I will point out your poor reading comprehension. I called you a troll for continually arguing with the mods and said anyone who honestly can't think of a non-spoiler version of a title they were going to post is stupid because it's not difficult to omit spoilers.
I'm not going to get dragged back into this, other than to point out how amusing your persecution complex is. People who agree with or at least accept the rules of the forum are part of some absurd conspiracy to disrespect you by making you not post spoilers, and now I use the word 'troll' to describe that behavior and I'm killing communication as we know it. I'll repeat one very sage piece of advice to you: get over yourself.
Other than that, this is a dead issue. Mods' rules > you whining about how you want the forum to work.

Speaking of reading comprehension, if you had actually read the thread you'd realize my post was a reply to another post which, according to your above interpretation of the word 'respect' in this context, apparently suggests everyone on a spoilers board who wanted to post spoilers in their post titles was part of some absurd conspiracy to disrespect them by making them read spoilers.
I'm a troll because I disagree with you? Someone needs to get over themselves, it's not me, and I believe they've already been warned in this very thread by a moderator about the lack of civility inherent in their ad hominem arguments. It seems a touch disingenuous to act as if they're just trying to support the moderators rules, when discussing one rule, then directly controvert another in the same post.

1. I never called you stupid and your continued attempts to tell me what I said are just making you look ridiculous. I said that it would be a sign of stupidity to be incapable of coming up with any possible non-spoiler title for a given topic. You said it can be handy to specify things that are spoilers. Unless you are now telling me that what you meant by that is that you cannot imagine how any game mechanics could be discussed without posting spoilers, then I have no idea what you're getting at. Your convoluted logic doesn't change the fact that I did not call you stupid. I was making the point that it is easy to adapt to this rule; thus, my jab at your reading comprehension.
I know your post was a reply... To a thread created by a moderator clarifying a rule. You then repeatedly argued, which in and of itself is a little annoying but not quite to the level of troll. When I elevated you to that point, as I just explained pretty clearly in my last post, was when you actually made the argument that people who agree with the stated rule are disrespecting you and your rights. That is a ridiculous claim and if you stand by it and continue to try to incite me to flame you or pretend that I already have then yes, you are a troll in my book. I never said you were a troll because you disagreed with me; my argument was much more specific than that. I'm sure you can read so I won't bother copy-pasting from my post just above this where I explained myself.
What are you trying to accomplish here? The mods have spoken. Your claim that this is a matter of you being disrespected is obviously false; it's about not broadcasting spoilers indiscriminately throughout the site, as thread titles are. Instead of accepting this and moving on, you continue to put words in my mouth, first with a convoluted string of logic based on an out of context quote to contradict my repeated clarification that I did not call you an idiot (if you were interested in any form of communication besides a flame war, why would you not take me at my word that I did not call you that? At worst, you can think I was unclear, but to actually argue with me about whether or not I called you something I didn't shows that you actively want a hostile confrontation. I'm doing my best to keep this post restrained to the logical merits of what you just wrote about me, which I think is perfectly fair), and finally by making up the absurd straw man that I called you a troll for disagreeing with you when I gave a specific explanation of why I thought you were trolling. You also kinda proved my point about how you are latching on to the word 'trolling' to make me sound like I'm destroying the conversation when it is you making the wild accusations, but I guess you didn't read that part of my last post.
By the way, I do find it amusing that when the mod told everyone to take it easy, you assumed that meant he was siding with you and attacking me for this ad hom that never happened. I was not, in fact, warned for any of my posts on this thread, in case you were curious.
Go ahead and get the last word in. I'm done here. I think I've made it sufficiently clear that I did not call you an idiot, and that all of my points were more than fair.

Some of you are taking things a bit far. If you can't be civil to each other in discussing things, take a break from the forums.

I think we all know broadcasting forum topics is fairly common, just not the ones from the spoiler forum. Just blocking the spoiler topics, if that is possible, would take it out of our hands and keep you from having to make a rule that, to be honest, is rather silly.

Again with the reading comprehension. The warning is in this thread, it's right there in... grey and slightly darker grey. Who do you think asked Astorax to intervene after your personal attacks via PM? If you want to leave you go right ahead, we'll get along fine without your ad hominem arguments and backpeddling.

It's on a spoiler forum, and it's not like the person is putting the title out there with the intent to ruin some poor sap's 'innocence'.
And boo-hoo if somebody comes across a spoiler (Especially in a spoiler forum???), I think people need to really get over it, it's a surprise whether you find out now or in the game, what's the difference? It will happen anyways!

No.
Since you can see the newest post from the index page, people who doesn't want to get spoiled can still see titles such as "After Loghain joins" or "Should I make a demon lovechild with Morrigan?".

You totally just gave those two things away for me and SPOILED them, yet I'm still alive.
Because I have the common sense to know that I would have found out when I got to it anyways, and it won't change how it comes about anyways...
And BTW -- Loghain doesn't join, he totally dies lol xD
In my story, at least, he does =P

Just because you don't mind getting spoiled doesn't mean everyone else does too - but I don't guess you're taught to see beyond the tip of your nose in highschool these days.

Thread titles are broadcast not just in the forum, but also (most recent posting) are broadcast to the forum index.
I couldn't agree more, how much hassle or effort does it take to NOT include a spoiler in the actual title of a thread ? It's common sense realy asking people not to include spoilers in the title of the thread is not a " stupid request on a forum that allows spoilers " because the thread titles become readable by EVERYONE using all of the forums for Dragon age and Mass Effect when they log onto the website !!
