Isn't part of point to achieve a happy (not disney) ending in a game of choice like ME, why else most of the fans will work hard to obtain alot of war assets, multiplayer, and everything (I know I did) before heading to earth? I was expecting at least of option that, but the ending didn't make much difference and renders it meaningless.

If we had the 16 different endings that bioware promised us, happy endings should have been an option, regardless.
And seriously, lot of people put up youtube videos because there wasn't an option for a happy ending either from coding or drawing and animations. (better than what we got that 4 sure).

Also someone got to stop spreading the BS that happy ending will damage the value of the franchise because some of us just like simple tastes of the how the ending should be, just as some people are completely satisfied with the current endings.

So the majority of the "anti-enders" just wants an happy ending? I didn't realize that.

I'm "anti" for a completely different reason. The ending lacks narrative coherence and basically breaks the lore of the ME series. That's why I'm not happy with the ending. Not to mention BioWare's unwillingness to admit that they made a mistake...

Well, a coherent ending would make me happy, but while we're at it... why not an actual "Bittersweet" ending that has some sweet with the bitter? As mentioned, it is about choices, and while a "sunshine and rainbows" ending doesn't make sense with millions dead already by the Reapers, there's nothing wrong with a "well, we stopped the Reapers, now we need to rebuild" bit with Shepard and Garrus drinking beers on the beach and watching the waves lap up against a wrecked Reaper.

I want an ending where Shepard flies into space, turns super sayian and destroys all the reapers with a galactic Kamehameha.

No, I am not speaking for all anti-enders and I realize that not everyone who dislikes the ending hate it for the lack of a happy ending. However, there are many who want a happy ending to be an option and I thought I would give my 2 cents on the matter.

And yes, coherence is more important than a happy ending. I would have been happy if the ending makes sense. However, the ending not only doesn't makes sense, but it disregards all your actions and choices up to that point. These are two cardinal sins for Mass Effect. The option for a happy ending is part of the second problem with the endings.

I never understood this need for a happy ending. You *got* a happy ending. Shepard survives the explosion after destroying all the reapers, and your friends are living peacefully in the Garden of Eden after outrunning a massive explosion Hollywood style.

Sure it makes no sense, but it's a happy ending!
