Myself in the area in Hard Reset with three gorillas in a courtyard on Insanity.
I bought this game a year ago and still can't beat this checkpoint. ;-)

Just finished Red Dead Redemption.

Glad to see you played it (and seemingly liked the ending)

I did enjoy it a great deal. Marston turned out to be a lot warmer then I had expected before playing, but it was very obvious that he was a good man. He did preface his own end in a way. He always seemed to know that his fatality would come from his indiscretions of his past. Great game and the story had perfect pacing, which made the ending hit just a little bit harder.

i really like how they paced the ending in RDR, they actually got you emotionally involved with the characters to where you cared about what happened i actually started to surf the internet to see if there was an alternate way you could do it, very engrossing title Rockstar out did themselfs ....

I'd give it to Halo:Reach just ahead of RDR.

If it has not been mentioned yet, StarCraft 2:Wings of Liberty. The last protoss mission.
One of the best, if not, THE best last stand.

How about Hamonds last stand in dead space? That one was... pointless.

Noble 6's last stand for sure.
Walter's last stand in Kingdom Under Fire.
Also I second Marauder Shields.

Just remembered, that old geezer in Dead Space: Severance.
Slyguy2000, that was not even a last stand, more of a squeel for mercy.

I still think this is one of the greatest last stands. It's such an epic setpiece just because of the sheer intensity, ambience of it all and it feels real and it involves realistic situations. Plus it feels like it never ends (the video is only 8 minutes but when you are playing it it feels like 30 minutes), you feel hopeless and that's what a last stand is all about.

Hyperglide that was pretty intense, that game is intense. I personally like when you are being overrun by the enemy and you are trying to reach the chopper playing as rabbit. That was awesome. Practically a whole chapter dedicated to rabbits last stand.

Zack in Crisis Core. Not much a fan of Final Fantasy, but I did like this game.
