Yes, I had 2 freezes yesterday. One time at starting a game in the loading-screen (selected was FB Jade), second time on wave 1 (FB Giant, I noticed weird black squares appearing for a very short duration, overlaying the explosion of the new Sniperrifle).

Yeah this. I only got locked up once though, but the black square thing is annoying. Glad im not the only one with that.

Yeah yesterday was really bad. Today two games were o.k, but the third one was skyrim bad in terms of lag. Seemed to be new maps at first but it has spread. I'm on ps3

Had one freeze yesterday on Jade, had another today on Giant... I think both times someone was using one of the new characters if that helps.

Yep this happen to me and three friends too and like maybe five or six times since Rebellion.
I think it's because of the new FX of the DLC (Vortcha vision etc.)
It freeze a lot on Thessia too and in glod mostly.

Me and my friends had no problems playing a bronze when it came to issues but as soon as we decided to jump to the harder settings like silver and gold it really start to act up and lag up. We even banned all new weapons and characters to see if that was the deal and it still acted bad. Saw alot of blackboxes, enemies frozen in the air but we never froze completely. We let the enemies kill us to collect the credits we did earn and by the time we decided to do that we had to wait for the enemies to realize we wanted them to shoot us. A couple nights before the dlc I got on it and it was working fine and my friends were on it the morning before the dlc was released and it was running fine for them according to them. So yeah id say its the dlc thats causing the problems because the only issue i had before the dlc is Op Survival packs not working like they should and thats being fixed lol.

From a fresh start up I was able to play 2 gold games and on wave 1 of the 3rd the FPS dropped to <1. Completely unplayable, restarting the game resolves the issue but the same thing happens after 2 more games. The issue was there even before DLC, but it's alot worse now. Wish they would address this.

Haven't played yet today, but last night:

7 of 8 missions froze up before extraction: 3 Jade, 3 Goddess, 1 Ghost. The one mission that made it all the way through was also Jade, though. No new weapons/characters on anyone, though a few people already had Gear. Didn't see black squares, but got slow movement, teleporting enemies, invulnerable enemies. Losing shields/health just by walking. etc.

Edit: PS3

I'm having no issues since installing the Rebellion pack apart from black squares around rockets that are fired by my sentry turrets.

Edit: PS3

I'm on PS3. Definitely seeing a lot more lag after installing the DLC. While it didn't freeze, I've also had the game hang at the "waiting for players" popup before or after a game. Lag wasn't uncommon before, but now I get hit with it after 2 games :/

Last night was horrible. Locked up once on Goddess. Kicked me off of the network twice after that. Never had a problem before this. Hopefully Bioware will get the kinks worked out and the network issues are just so many people trying the new DLC. Ran three games today, one on Jade, with no problems.

Game froze only once last night mid-way through a match on Jade. Have had the occasional lag during games too. (Xbox 360)

For the PS3 it is almost certainly a memory problem (drive thrashes to heck and back from paging). For XBox users, do you notice increased drive activity and increasingly choppy play before you lock up, or does it just freeze solid with no degradation?

To my untrained eye after years spent as an overclocking fiend, the symptoms being reported (black squares, blockiness, lag, lockups) are indicative of the graphical processing unit (GPU) overheating. I've personally noticed on my PC that ME3 drives the GPU pretty hard and gets it hotter than most any other game I play. Is it possible that the rebellion release with its added effects, coupled with warmer weather in the northern hemisphere, and rudimentary GPU cooling at best that is typically found in console units that is leading to this phenomenon?

I know that my daughter, when she plays ME3 on her PC laptop that it overheats regularly where that hasn never been a problem for that laptop before. I bought a cooling unit for the laptop and now it's all good.

Just a suggestion for a possible diagnosis.

Certainly a possibility, but it seems like it might be a bit more than just the prettier new maps.  People have reported the graphics glitches (black squares) and freezes even in old maps with old characters.  I also never got the black boxes, though my framerate did dip some, but not to the precipitous levels some people saw.  I've seen plenty of frame rate drops though with certain powers and guns.  I was trying to calculate the max-ROF of the GPSMG at one point, and realized it was pointless, as the frame rate kept changing, altering my timing and count.

I only played the new maps last night, as I wanted to really dig into them, so I can't comment on how the old maps acted.

My X-box froze on Fire Base Goddess as host on Wave 2, and once on the loading screen for a regular map. I noticed that more people were dropping from matches, and they were not AFKing. Very annoying so far.

Issue being fixed in the patch for Rebellion is the guns not staying equipped after every match. Nothing for whats occuring right now. We can only hope the stuff being fixed in the MP will make MP easier to play or something.

There's three kinds of lag: comm lag as host, comm lag as guest, and system lag. Here's how to tell them apart:
1. Comm lag as host: Everything look like it is running smoothly, except the other players teleport all over the place. If they have mic's, then what they say is choppy and probably obscene since they will be dealing with the next set of symptoms
2. Comm lag as guest: Enemies jump all over the place. When you move, you jump back to where you started and maybe jump back forward. Powers start to trigger, but then fizzle out or never take effect, even though the cool down clock starts. In circle hacks the timer keeps changing inconsistently. Aside from the teleports, though, there's no jerkiness to looking around. Enemies will start to drift off going in one direction (into the air if they were going up stairs, or into a wall) and then snap to somewhere else when the comm stream syncs up again. Allies may move around the map in a crouch, or also seem to drift into the air.
3. System lag: The worst. The screen freezes for seconds at a time, can't move can't look around. On PS3 the hard drive will be thrashing. Maybe enemies teleport, but you can't tell because you really can't see anything. The controller will cache some movements, but not others, so when the screen unfreezes for a second there's no telling what action you'll be doing -- it will probably be whatever you tried to do two seconds ago when the freeze started. Then it will freeze again for a couple more seconds.

Yeah before the patch I had the ps3 problem where the framerate drops to the unplayable zone after 2 hours of play or less, now it happens on my first matches... can't even play the game :(
