Whats wrong with Shale exactly? I have it as my tank and I've noticed nothing wrong with it.

For the rogues, I don't really see a huge problem. I got my own rogue to level 14 or so and everything is okay. Nothing game breaking. There doesn't seem anything too major that will prevent me from playing the game.

Personally, I'm holding off on having Sten in my party until he gets the intended specialization point. I'm hoping a lot of bugs will be fixed in the next patch but I highly doubt all of them will be covered.

Ok lemme explain the rogue problem, it's not just a rogue problem really it's a dagger and archery scaling problem.

Archery scales horribly with the difficulty you play at, being insanely good on casual, really good on normal, pretty sucky on hard and useless on nightmare.

People getting 500 hits are talking about Arrow of Slaying, the only skill that is sort of OP for archer, but even on normal it'll only hit a boss for 100 (if it hits him) I've had problems with archery skills not doing anything, not giving me a "blocked" or a "miss" msg over my head (would love a combat log) not to mention attacks being blocked by invisable walls apparently since I had a clean shot. People just like to brag about their big arrow of slaying numbers but truthfully unless you're fighting some mob insanely lower level then you on nightmare or hard it's gonna hit for crap.

the Dagger problem is daggers are supposed to scale with dex, but instead they only scale with str. meaning being a high dex rogue ain't going to help you for **** if you're using daggers, sure you'll hit your target, but your dmg will only be amplified by your str.

I also found that even though dex is supposed to give double attack power bonus to archery I can't hit for **** with it if I don't go archery warrior and get precise + perfect striking . Like 50% miss chance on hard and nightmare even if I tried to dump all my stat points into dex it wouldn't give me enough atk power to actually hit as well as any melee char could. (Realistic I guess, but still makes archery so useless when you can pull out DW wpns without any talents and do more dmg then your bow with every talent) I'm referring to hard and nightmare yet again, stop telling me your arrow of slaying does 500 dmg to a white mob on normal.

Haste also slows archers down no matter what, that's always fun.

Not really a bug but bows should probably be able to be enchanted just to make em suck a lot less and just get rid of arrows completely they're just vendor trash.

As far as the shale problem, some people are reporting that Shale isn't getting any stats increases from his crystals. I haven't experienced it myself but from what I've seen a good amount of people have.

Eh, i don't even know why I bother.

Which leads to a page that can't help console users with the majority of bugs at all and not like we "the console community" can mod the bugs out of the game for you. So we all pretty much just list bugs here, barely ever get any replies from bioware or edge of reality, doubt anyone who even fixes the bugs reads this... I give up...

First and foremost, I love this game. That made it all the more heart-crushing when I realised that it is almost crippled with glitches. Some of the game breakers i've found include getting kicked out of the game because a (non-dlc) area couldn't be loaded, and getting stuck in the Proving Grounds for about half an hour after killing the twins, and the "Something Wicked" glitch (although it can be solved by saving and reloading after the cutscene).

I've also noticed several minor bugs. For example, my beserker mode will occaisonally stay on permanently and my character will sometimes adopt the battle stance during normal cutscenes, which in turn causes him to turn away from who I'm speaking to (it was rather distracting to have to argue with Loghain while facing away from him and breathing heavily).

These glitches have shaken my previously rock solid support and love of Bioware. I'm still a Bioware fan at heart, but I suppose that all I can do is pray that a patch will be released.

Game will definitively freeze during random fight (shutting down the console as only option)



Pressing x too quickly during cut scenes will either break voices or voices will no longer be synchronized with the animation.



Any armor from the warden's peak DLC (commander or any other bought from the smith) will not trigger the 'set bonus'.



Sometine a cutscene or a dialogue will replay a second time (happens to me while performing the blood magic ritual with Jowan in Redcliffe)



Character stuck into combat pose after a fight or wrong animation during cutscene



Not finishing Elora's halla sidequest before siding whith the werewolves meant side-quest will forever remain within 'current quests' while being impossible to finish.



Accepting a mission from a board while having already the condition for completion (dead extracts, ..) and talking immediately again to the NPC to claim reward will generate a permanent quest marker above his head.



Using repeatedly and too quicly the left trigger to toggle the radial menu will invert pause/not pause or sometime the 4 info buttons (under the radial menu) will remain visible all the time.



Some epilogues are not accurate with what I did during my playthrough (urn of sacred ashes)



Mission description for completing Connor's exorcisme is wrong.



Infinite gold glitch with items in 'junk'



After micromanaging a character and returning to main character, the other party member will no longer do anything for the duration of the fight



Not really bugs but still painful :

Reset of many abilities (Ranger, Shapeshifting while passing a door or after a unavoidable cutscene)



Ranger's pet are unavailable in the fade in Broken circle



Often while releasing the left trigger character will walk in a direction while no input are given (this will cancel long invocation or healing spell)

For the love of pete please fix the dex/rogue/archer bug and the memory leak.We all would like the option to play a "normal" rogue not to mention actually have usefull rogue companions,please bioware,edge of reality,anyone with the power to make this happen.

on my dlc of "Stone Prisoner" when i get to the barrier room in the basement there is no way for me to talk to the people after killing all the darkspawn, its completely impossible.

nope didnt work. ive tried deleting and redownloading the dlc but that didnt work either.

There is something wrong with the Ortzammar Quest: A Lord's Trust: The Second Task. I have killed Jarvia and everyone else in the carta, but when I return to Harrowmont, he acts as if I haven't killed her. It is really annoying as I cannot continue the game and Ortzammar is the last place I need to go before the landsmeet. Any advice?

*ATTENTION: THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR ONE PARTY CHARACTER!!!

In Denerim: The Blackstone quest, 'Notices of Death' -or Condolences, I forget- will permit you to speak to any of the widows of the dearly departed soliders but will not update when you inform them of the letters for them in your possesion, nor will the letters decrease in number from your inventory. Note: this has prevented me from reaching the final Blackstone quest. 

Party Camp: Reaching more than half possitive approval rating with Wynne will prevent her from telling you of her 'death' and the Fade Angel that protects her. None the less, her 'Invoking the Spirit' ability will still appear in her list of buffs.  

In Ozrammar: The Deep Roads quest 'Topsider's Sword' will not complete if you locate and click on the Coffin before retriving the final piece from the Ancient Darkspawn.  

Primary Character: Auto-leveling will disable any Specialization class options you may have selected or wish to select.

nope didnt work. ive tried deleting and redownloading the dlc but that didnt work either.


do you have any active spells that are supposed to wear off after a battle like Blood Magic?

just dont buy games by special companies anymore. that will help to keep consoles were they belongs to-> qualified products and bugfree ones also.

I've got an arcane warrior character and the dex bonuses from armour (i.e. shadow of empire and the like) do not affect the attack rate or damage rate. It does work from other equipment.

I'm not sure if anyone at Bioware, Edge of Reality, or EA is aware of
this bug, but after I downloaded the title update for the Xbox 360
version around 1:00 AM on 01-13-10, all of the tactics presets don't
work.





Here's what happened.  I returned to camp, noticed that Morrigan, Sten,
Dog, and Shale all leveled, and proceeded to level up each character. 
Well, they all received a new tactics slot, and since I use the tactics
presets (Scrapper, Archer, etc.) I went to look at what tactic filled
the new tactic slot.  Everything was fine until I changed the tactics
preset to see what my new options were.  When I changed to a new tactics
preset (from Scrapper to Defender, etc.) all of the tactic slots became
empty, even the preset I just came from was empty when I returned
to it.  However, the Custom preset still has all the tactic slot from filled accept the new one.





I have not left camp or entered any battles, so I don't know if the
tactics presets still work even though all the tactic slots appear empty,
or if my companions will just stand there and do nothing.





Considering the title update was ONLY supposed to fix the DLC
achievement glitch, I'm wondering how this happened and what else may
have been broken by this title update?

    Firstly let me say this release has majorly rocked my confidence in Bioware.Yes i know Edge of Reality has done the console ports, but hey, c'mon,surely a company like Bioware should've stepped in & taken control in rectifying this fiasco of a product as soon as the publics feedback started pouring in! Ever since BG was released i've been hooked on Bioware & eagerly awaited EVERY release,played the hell out of them & then drooled over the prospect of their next release.Now im actually concerned about ME2!!!
    Anyway,about the OP.I've just read thru all this thread & have experienced the majority of the aforemmentioned bugs.They've done my head in that much i've still not completed the bloody game!!!Normally i'd have blasted thru it & been on a 3rd or 4th playthrough by now.Unfortunately for me i chose a rogue as my 1st character & also maxed out the STEAL skill line!!!Lol.The "Steal Success" bug is for me by far the most infuriating one so far(i just love nicking stuff,always have in RPG's).Having to reload every time it pops up until i finally actually receive something has possibly tripled my "real-life" playtime!!And as for stealing during combat,well its just a bloody nightmare!! I finally admitted defeat (something i just DONT DO!!) & re-started as a Mage.
     A similar bug to this is with DOG.Apart from the cute factor,the only good thing about having DOG in your party is his ability to find items in certain areas.But lo & behold,the game informs me that "Sid (my DOG's name) has brought you an item",but exactly like the "Steal Success" bug,NOTHING is added to your inventory(Proof-tested same way as "Steal Success",clearing inventory & noting cash amount).So far DOG has only found the few Gift items & "Piece of Wood" Staff, despite claimg to have found me dozens of Items.
     You know whats funny?For the first time ever i purchased the console version of a game instead of the PC version........TO AVOID ANY MINOR GLITCHES!!!!!!Now here i am,desparately trying not to give up with the 360 version of the game,waiting for an update,and the PC version has had loads of its bugs sorted!! ROFLMAO
     The times they sure are a changing!
