So are there some lucky bastards who already got Valiant aka best N7 gun on level 5?

My CP is missing for now, hoping to get it asap. Got Valiant I, wanna ask how it improves.

I love the Valiant and I very much like to get it to V. There is an unfortunate drawback with all the new gear that we get through the free DLC...the more gear, the less the chance to ever upgrade the Valiant.

It doesn't matter how many DLC pack they release, Valiant, Hurricane, Crusader and Eagle can only be obtained via Commendation Pack

Not at all, as valiant can only be gotten from commendation packs, the number of non-commendation pack items is irrelevant.

I think the only way to upgrade the Valiant is via commendation packs, correct? And there are no new N7 promotional weapons so the odds should stay the same?

But I still have a Valiant I so I'm not sure. But "yes" I like it more than my BW I.

The odds of having a Valiant V are about 0.1%. There should be about 10-50 people with one.

It starts at 317.2 at mk.1 and ends at 396.5 at mk.10 Thats about 80pts of damage increase total, or 8 per upgrade - or roughly 2,25%.

Take into account that the ammo capacity increases too as well as the weight is reduced by roughly the same rate, it upgrades very well.

I've only got three commendation packs so far and have the Valiant 2, which is pretty awesome already. Hopefully there will be a commendation pack in my near future!

Last time I got the Eagle...I was pissed.

Well I saw a few with lvl IV, but in other thread I saw one guy, who got Crusader, so no lvl V. I wonder how it goes, sometimes there is a spree. Like I opened 6 sp in a row and each and every one contained Revenant upgrade (my first level X weapon)

It would be around 20% of 20% of 20% of 20% of 20% = 0,00032, or 0,032% total. Thats not a lot of people...

After the tenth event about 1/10000 people will have the Valiant X, and no other promotional weapon.
560/10000 will have no Valiant at all.
I think I did the math right.

No, it would be .25 ^ 5, or .25 *.25 *.25 *.25 *.25, so Dark is correct, it's about .1%.

Edit to add: the collector rifle doesn't drop from the packs, so far as I know, so it's one in four or 25%.

DarkAbsolution is correct: the odds are .25^5 or approx .1%. Love the valiant but I'd love to see a Hurricane, since I don't have one yet.

FWIW: I prefer my Valiant I over my Black Widow I. It's lighter, shoots faster, reloads faster, carries twice the ammo, and is only slightly less damaging. I can bring down Atlases and Brutes pretty fast with my Salarian and Geth Infils...

Still haven't looked at my comm pack so hoping for a #4 too.

So ****ing glad I have this thing, I've NEVER been a good sniper in any FPS online game. With the valiant...jesus its just so much fun AND effective.

I will trade you my crusader II(got number 2 today), it's not so much that it's really bad or anything it's just that I have no use for it...
Whereas I have gotten a lot of mileage out of my Valiant I, definitely my sniper of choice so far.
