Well folks I finally got it to work after many many tries and analysis of the issue:
Here´s the thing: EA made an algorithm for the toolset installation that fails at some points and here they are:
First, if you have followed the issue at:
http://social.biowar...to_the_databasemaybe you have realized it doesn´t always works. Well, thing is they ARE right in the way they solve the problem, but have some key things missing.
The part where they tell you to make a "Full Manual Install" is the first thing to start with ´cause:
First
The SQL package they put on the toolset fails at some point (I guess with some troubles with MSXML6 or something). This issue is perhaps related to the SP3 version they use that presents conflicts with some PCs.
And Second (and the key thing of this story):
They missed the part of the algorithm that directs your computer to search on the database of YOUR SQL server, that is your PC ! So here is the trick:
First:
Uninstall everything: Toolset, SQL, SQL Studio AND those entries they tell you to erase at the end of
http://social.biowar...to_the_database , "Other Miscellaneous Solutions", on the third suggestion.
Second:
Install Toolset WITHOUT SQL 2005, and WITHOUT database.
Third:
Go to
http://www.microsoft...us/express.aspx and download SQL 2005. Install it. Well who could tell ! they don´t use SP3 in this file, good thing for us cause now there´s no trouble with MSXML6 protection again !
Fourth
Go to
http://www.microsoft...press-down.aspx and download the friendly User Interface to handle SQL, the SQL Studio.
5th
Follow the steps suggested at
http://social.biowar...to_the_database for a "Full Manual Install" so you can make the databases. Don´t forget that it saves it in C:\\\\\\\\Program Files *or Archivos de Programa for us spanish users*\\\\\\\\Microsoft SQL Server\\\\\\\\MSSQL.1\\\\\\\\MSSQL\\\\\\\\Data regardless of where you have your game or SQL 2005 installed, D:\\\\\\\\, F:\\\\\\\\ or whatever
6th
Well here´s the trick: You have to configure the server (your PC): open the SQL Studio but don´t do nothing. In the opening screen, where it asks for Server Name, Authentication, bla bla, it leaves you standing at Server Name, and shows you the name of your real server, your PC !
Hit Ctrl+C
That is, copy that name
7th
Open the Toolset Config and tell it you are going to set your server yourself (second screen for configuring the "Database"). That is, uncheck the default setting and hit the other one, and the [...]
8th
After you hit the [...] it thakes you to a dialog box where you can imput the name of your server on the 1st step. Stand in that line, erase that crap of .\\\\\\\\BWDATOOLwhatever. Hit Ctrl+V to paste the name of your PC as a SQL server.
9th
Hit the Try Conection button at the end of the Dialog. It should tell you It´s a success.
10th
Go to the next line (2. step of that dialog), the "Database on the Server" and open the options. That´s where your beloved bw_dragonage_content shold be. Select it.
11th
Say ok to everything and go out of the Config thingy.
12th
Go to the Registry and edit this path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\\\\\\\SOFTWARE\\\\\\\\BioWare\\\\\\\\Dragon Age\\\\\\\\Toolset\\\\\\\\Environment
and in this entry:
Provider=SQLOLEDB.1;Integrated Security=SSPI;Persist Security Info=False;Initial Catalog=bw_dragonage_content;Data Source=.\\\\\\\\BWDATOOLSET
change it where it says .\\\\\\\\BWDATOOLSET for your PC id (Ctrl+V again!)
then close the registry.
13th and after a long jorney :
Open the Toolset and ... Enjoy !
