Does anyone else ever find themselves skimming through the forums, reading threads here and there, and then read something so asinine that it makes you want to pull an Oedipus and blind yourself (without the patricide and mother-boning)?

Or you've been reading a thread for awhile and you just can't take how many bad ideas people have?

An example of this came up a few minutes ago when I was reading a DA discussion about adding multi-player. One person just got SO SUPER ANGRY about even the idea of adding multiplayer. Like, how can you be that upset over a suggestion? A suggestion that wasn't even made by someone of importance?

Sometimes, I really need to take a break from the forums, because people are just...people.

welcome to the internet, the home of trolls, porn, bad advice, immature name calling and irritating elitism. I usually have meaningful discussions with my fellow forumites, but anonymity makes some decent people go crazy it seems.

This is true, and it's something I'm used to, but I guess I forget it sometimes.

I come here to laugh at the misfortune of others.

Sometimes it provides a decent outlet and sometimes I stumble across something interesting and I make a response.

And then I find out they were just trollin', be hatin' and I'll be postin', tryin' to catch them flamin'.

This is a ridiculous statement and wrong to the root.  Your entire mental construct seems based on the assumption that you are a human being of about equal value to your fellow humans and is therefore doomed to collapse. How dare you even imply that?
Your post also indicates that you have no life, no girlfriend and probably not even discernable hobbies on the computer, besides making irritating comments on forums to cause angry backlash and a general drop of niveau. Do you feel no shame?
I can only imagine what your mother looks like but with your general attitude, I still feel no sympathy for you. Your input to this conversation reminds me of Adolf Hitler and his tactics of mass manipulation. Are we yet again ruled by Aryans?
;)

Edit: Dang. I added the smiley because I was afraid of some one misunderstanding me, but it really destroys the image I was going for.
Just stop reading after Aryans, ok?

But, you are just white and nerdy.

Everytime I read the word enchantment.

Well, I wouldn't get angry over that itself. But I certainly dispair everytime I come across someone suggesting adding multiplayer, as if it wasn't an insanley complex and ardous task for the developers.

Interesting the italics choice at the end..? Anyway 1) somewhat 2) sometimes 3) Sometimes people are possessive or sensitive over things, that's probably indication that person really likes the game (the way it is); I got the same thing when I used to play Diablo 2 and found multiplayer was the fad; I used to play it as an RPG, multiplay forced it into an industrial killing spree (not my style)..I much prefer to take my own time in single player and cater to my own obsessive compulsive exploring and item hoarding. Multiplayer would probably come with certain 'perks' for playing multi, and that and making any online friends that play would make it practically obligatory to play the 'proper' way online, to get the most out of your game. As it is now, we ARE getting the most out of it.
4) Some of us find it hard to effortlessly devalue everyone we come into contact with like that, so we see any random person on the street, over the internet, as still a very real person who is saying these things to us. I happen to be one of those people and unlike most it seems I fully accept the reality of another conscious person saying/typing things with intent of communicating something to me (as we do in letters, over the phone, in voice or in sign language), rather than feeding myself the short sighted dumbed down concept(/flat out lie) the internet is just a game, nothing means anything or that someone is just a load of words or non-existent. The internet is information transference, same as anything else.
We all take things differently, this causes inconsistencies and further disagreements.

I wish that was true. It seems more that instead of the freedom of anonymity somehow corrupting 'decent' people, it is only the pressure of publicity that stops them from being how they truly like to be.

Don'tcha hate when that happens?? But I still found it...ineffectual. Also, what does "niveau" mean?????
