Doesn't sound simple to me.

I just made a smaller than that module with a Templar protagonist and I struggled. But, I'm a newbie.
Perhaps I can offer some advice on point one. Sunjammer suggested something and I found additional help in another thread. The combination I came up with might not be ideal, I don't know but it worked well enough for what I wanted.
(I'll just be brief. Say if you can't follow and I'll be more explicit.)
1. You want the player to be Fergus, right? Make Fergus as a creature in the creature editor who is wearing whatever clothes you want him to wear - inventory tab and equip it.
2. Export the Fergus creature with dependants.
3. Find the file in module/override/toolsetexport. fergus.utc or whatever you called it.
4. Copy the file. Paste it one folder back, in override. Rename the file default_player.utc
5. As long as the module is currently showing Jaden, the default guy, while you are currently testing it from export, through various means, including just running his script, you should now get your default player instead. Later, when creating a player package, you'll need to check default_player.utc in the tree and the head morph he is using, either custom or from DA's morphs. Otherwise your player will have some variation of Jaden with no head.
If this is too messy, you could ask Sunjammer, but I think he mentioned to me that handling it with scripting was difficult because of skipping character generation. (I think that was it.)
(PS. If Fergus is actually a person in Origins - I can't remember - OK he is, I checked.
I'd create a new Fergus. Find his head morph and just give him human,
male characteristics + whatever kit you want etc. There may be a way to use the real him, I have no idea what it is.)
Point two is an interesting one. Wasn't there a mod around here with custom origins? Like, something in place of the origins slot? Maybe I was imagining it. Otherwise, you could handle it through an intro conversation, maybe? With flags set? Not sure.
(So, you want to know if it can recognise the player's Warden's relationship/lack of to Fergus? Firstly, does it matter? Because it's standalone. If it does .... So, importing the right flags from their game, I guess. I have no idea how to do that. It could maybe handled creatively through someone asking Fergus about his family? He says he has a sister, who is a warden, because the player chooses that dialogue, then set flags Warden and female and use them against dialogue which check for not Warden and male, where appropriate in the convo editor?)
